Some of us midwesterners were talking in another thread about a possible "camp-in" for all of us who can't actually make it to fun gatherings like the Portland Expo or the NA campouts. 

So...I talked to Tyton games (also members here) about possibly hosting us, since they just expanded and stuff. 

Points to discuss...

What:
  • Tournaments?
  • Free play?
  • Raffles?
  • Show off our gems?

Tyton Games: 106 E St Charles Rd, Villa Park, IL 60181

When:
Probably a Saturday or Sunday

Sounds like fun. I've never been to a meetup before and was starting to wonder if these even happen in Illinois.

i would be down. it would be nicer to find something closer to or in the actual city.

why not Beercade or Headquarters? Video games and Beer sounds fun to me for a first meetup

I have not been to either. Do they have accounts with NA? 

The reason for Tyton is #1, they are members here, and #2 I know them personally. 

I would be up for whatever, but as far as me personally trying to get this thing going, it would just be easier. 

I'm more than open to others picking it up too.

I'd be interested if I can make it... Everytime a meetup occurs anywhere near me, I always have something come up preventing me from making it.. :-/

I would be in. I say we stick with Villa Park, easier in the burbs to park, etc.

It'll either take me 2 hours and 45 minutes to drive there, or 3 hours depending on who gets their way lol.

Tough choices benefits to Tyton include a full parking lot, a local bar literally next door, and enough room to host a 30 person mtg tournament on the side so room isn't a problem.

I was thinking depending on the size, we might need specific games for tournaments. I have a DKCC repro that would be fun to run through.

Depending on the dates i could make the trip and would be happy to drive some other mchigan members

Problem is the rest of the year is pretty full but i may be able to squeeze a trip in

I tried to find a list of common video games to bring to a meetup, but came up short. DKCC would be cool to try--I've never played a comp cart before.
