Megan - from what I recall the last boss (the MC) is ludicrously difficult compared to the other bosses.

I don't know, 45 minutes, an hour, somewhere thereabouts. Didn't take note of the time before nor after. But long enough, and way too tense to play another game immediately after, but I'm sure I'll give it another go later tonight. Looking to beat this game. I'm surprised though that I managed to get good enough so quickly as to get almost through the whole thing, only 3 games of it so far, no trial games, no resets. I've been mapping the game out as I go through new rooms, making note of title of each arena, as well as which direction they lead you in with arrows pointing to each next room. Kinda lame though how maps 2 and 3 are identical in shape.

FYI, Megan, if you video tape yourself getting your current scoring level, you'd rank #2 on Twin Galaxies. (current record is 11MM from July of this year)

Last boss looks almost like Mutoid Man, only its the game show host (seen plenty of pictures of the game), if he is really that much harder though, guess I better start doing even better so as to keep enough lives for when I get to him. They tricked me though after I beat those serpents, I was so used to getting my lives back to 5 that I expected to get some of them back after that boss, going to be really hard beating those last couple rooms before the final battle for "Big money, big prizes. I love it!"

Wouldn't matter about the recording, they are too picky with how its recorded, plus I'm not doing videos anymore, it was too much a pain in the ass setting things up and playing with a laptop in my way, figure a good snapshot is enough.

Well, from what I remember, he acts like Mutoid Man but has WAY more fire power and moves a ton faster.

Hehe...just beat Smash TV! My 4th time playing it, whooped it real good too. That wasn't so tough,a bit frantic and intense, but wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, heck, if only I played this one years ago when I got it and put some effort into it, it would've already had been beaten long ago.

The host of Smash TV. He wasn't too hard, fought exactly like Mutoid Man, didn't even notice an increase in difficulty, he just looked different that's all.

Some ending text. There were four sentences of congratulations, but my camera's battery was dying and it was taking forever for it to recover between shots, I thought for sure it was going to die on me before I got the final pic of the score. But anyway, not only did they tell me that I was a great Smash TV player, but probably the greatest of all! Don't know about that, but I did kick some ass.

Not on this run (actually not on any of the runs, only 1 treasure room out of the 2 that are found in rounds 2 and 3, couldn't find a path that would take me through both of them in each) because I was trying to explore rooms that I hadn't been to on my previous games so as to map it all out, also doesn't help that in one of them I died when enemies came out unexpectedly fast while I was grabbing the last pile of loot and I missed it all. Perhaps I could've exceeded 11 million if I had gotten everything that appeared in each of the treasure rooms. Not sure if I'll play again or not, since I beat this one so early in the week, I still a bunch of other games that I want to try to beat, or rebeat, we'll see, maybe I'll give it another go if I feel my score is threatened.

Okay, figured why not, wanted to see if I could beat Smash T.V. again, so played it again this morning, just beat it my second time a little while ago. It was probably a bad time to play it, my nerves are kinda screwed up, think I had too much chocolate cake and ice cream last night, and playing an intense action game like this didn't help any matters, my hands are shaky and my heart was beating so fast, I'm a nervous wreck, I'm surprised I was able to finish it at all. I actually played much worst I think this time, I died a ton early on, but my score was quite a bit higher, and for the sake of the competition, well that's all that matters. I think that's enough of this game, not looking to have a heart attack trying to do better.

Last boss pics again, showing score up to that point.

Ending pics again, but this time all of them.

I gave it a go Yesterday during the night and died somewhere in stage 3.
When I woke up this morning, my left wrist was sore.

This game is a killer, isn't it? Funny, I saw that you posted, I thought for sure you already had my score beat, I was like, oh shit, I may have to play it again.

okay, this game is freaking AMAZING! it's like a combo between alien syndrome and galaga (two of my favorite games) and then the two controller thing?!?!? I am totally loving this game right now but yes, my wrists are quite sore as well. I've been playing a lot these last two days.

It is an extremely funny game, put you in a kind of hypnotic zone of gameplay. Time is worthless, and you just kill hundreds of enemies a minute.
It gives you the strange feeling that you ride the game like a beast, and makes you wonder twenty times you're going to die before it actually happen for real.

The two controllers gameplay is awesome. I have to try this in coop with a four score sometimes.

I don't know if using Nes Max would be a good idea? Maybe I'll give it a shot.

Don't worry Megan, I'll do my best to bring you back in the arena if I can, knowing how the game can be painful!

That's good sport!

Played this quite a bit tonight and man is my left wrist sore!  I made it all the way to the second key room, just before you fight the host.  I didn't last too long in there, as I only had one life when I entered the room.  Got clubbed by a group of guys as I was going for a shoe and a package.  I'll probably be giving this another go over the next few days as long as my wrist isn't too sore.

Score at game over: 8,994,115

With those scores you guys submitted, it won't be long before you catch up to mine. By the way, my wrists are just fine. Maybe I hold the controllers differently, perhaps you guys grip them too hard. What's nice about playing this game, its fair for me, no need to constantly, rapidly press the fire buttons, since it has automatic rapid fire just by holding a direction, good for me, otherwise my fingers wouldn't be able to stand up to it, and a loser would be me for sure.

Actually, I said I was going to quit, but seriously, with those scores that you guys got, I feel threatened, had to give it yet another go, see if I could get an even higher score. I played a far better game than my previous ones, had only 1 death in the first circuit, 6 deaths in the second, and 6 deaths in the third plus last few rooms, and got a better score, but not by much. Kind of hard at this point to raise them points, and if I had to do it again, not so sure I could pull off something higher, but I still don't feel secure in keeping a first place position on this. At least its not one of those games where you can lamely sit in one spot racking points infinitely or until time runs out because after a while the enemies stop coming and it forces you to move on, I like that in a high score challenge.

Lot more lives left when I got to the last boss, and picked up an extra one too during the fight.

Good grief, Megan! You should really rethink your stance on video taping for Twin Galaxies. You could hold so many records on there it's crazy.

^ Twin Galaxies is a pain in the butt. I tried to submit one for Metal Storm but I had to do it with two cameras because the batteries wouldn't last an hour. I made sure that they overlaped and everything, but it didn't matter . Waste of time and effort to record it.

You didn't have the ability to plug in your camera?

Wow, I blew away the first place guy's score on Twin Galaxies, twice. But then there's only 3 scores on there anyway, so probably not too many people play this game. Yeah, and it seems too much a pain in the ass bothering with recording something to submit to them.

no. don't have that option. or, if i do, i don't have the cable for it

really, Twin Galaxies is just a pain all around. I know I tried getting some answers from one of the guys months ago and he never got back to me. I know I had like 10 or so scores that would have been first on their site, and then would have had second on SMB3 which would have been awesome, but i don't have a camcorder right now to record them, and my cameras don't work long enough to get most scores.
