It might be my imagination, but I think that this game dynamically adjusts its difficulty depending on how well you are doing. If I get to e.g. 3-10 with fewer points, it's easier. If I get there with a higher score, the game becomes faster and it's harder to match the cookies. Anyone else notice this?

right, the more rows or columns you match up the faster it will get.

Juggling him is key... it wouldn't be odd to get 5-6 hits on him every hit that way.

I'm a bit surprised that there aren't more participation scores being posted. This isn't Legendary Wings. It's easy to make 5,000 on the first round of level 1.

I'm sure once the weekend comes round some scores will be trickling in...I won't post a score until Sunday most likely.

Damn.  So first of all, I was up to 46k points at the end of level 4.  I accidentally cleared a few levels and rode it out til round 2 and cranked out some more points.  
I didn't realize how fast this game gets!  I took some risks on 2-1 and 3-1 but pretty much played it safe otherwise.  Around the middle of round 4 seems to be where most people screw up.
In round 4-5 I think I took what seemed like a reasonable risk (something like a 5-line with a yoshi) and just flubbed the rest.  That kind of thing where you plan a line, only to have the next row spawn without the piece you need.
Might try again later, maybe not.  But this game's a lot of fun.  Although I think I'd have more fun just playing to see how far I can get instead of a high score

Nice scores gents!

Gonna grab myself a case of Rolling Rock after work and go to town on this son of a bitch.....based on my last few attempts I can get a nice score.

The only thing is when I am on pace for a good score I get myself into shit by waiting to long to pass the stage....even if I get it to down to like 4x4 blocks it still gets way too fast to keep up with.

I honestly might just come up with some kind of formula that shows speed increase per stage/world whatever you want to call them so that you have an idea of a threshold as to when you should stop going for points and just get the level over with.

When I died on that run I had it down it 1 or 1x2. And it then just f'ed me on the blocks I got

I want to break the 50k barrier. But when I get close to that score, the game gets too hard. I can be at level 3-10 and down to two blocks and it doesn't take long for them to start piling up until game over. It's infuriating when I'm pushing 50k and could get a high score if I could only make it to the next level.

Updated my score - finally got over 60k.  Like you guys said, the key is figuring out when it's time to quit racking points and just finish the level.  Since these runs take so long, I tend to get anxious too early and just clean things up. 

From what I remember from the last time we played, you really need to make the vast majority of your score over a small handful of levels, very early in the game, and then play-to-survive.

The difficulty ramps in a way that doesn't always feel predictable (in terms of how quickly it gets tough, and then the brief "cool downs" that you'll get when you change levels).

The default tune that plays is an ear worm. I've heard it so much that it's stuck in my head.

Hahahahahah I was getting that way with Baseball when we were playing it...that stupid little black box jingle was driving me nuts.

Even when I was sitting at work I would just hear it in my head playing over and over....

Terra Tubes is overrated in terms of difficulty.....I honestly beat it only after getting to it for the third time or so.

Whew, so after a grueling move involving two round trips between Massachusetts and Virginia in like 48 hours, I finally have a chance to take a stab at this one. Hooked up my bigger CRT at the new place, so that's cool. Puzzle games aren't my bag, really, but I had fun. Score is low. Blah. Not sure if I'll play much more this weekend. Still exhausted. Zzz. 

Man I got way to riled up last night.....my game is actually still paused from 6 hours ago.
