I was in a rush when I posted my scores so didn't have a chance to leave a comment. Wow, this game is very fun and addictive but deceivingly tough. You really have to watch your step. Lots of the secrets are quite cryptic and even seemingly inconsistent, and it's pretty chintzy with the extra lives (50,000? Seriously?)

I'd say this one is truly a practice makes perfect game as there are few chances to just get lucky and coast through. Congrats to everyone who battled this one out...I'd take the second or third installment any day of the week though.

I had tons of fun with this contest, and I hope everyone else did, too.

Yeah, I really enjoyed this contest a lot. I've always liked Adventure Island (though never beat it). Also, second time I've made it to 10th place! I'm starting a trend here. Well, except I don't own the contest games for the next few weeks. :/

I had a great time with the contest. I think i could have gotten a score high enough for second, but i got hooked on trying to beat it, and it took up the rest of my week lol. finally got past the dreaded 8-2 and 8-3. tough nearly impossible game to beat at the end. great scores everyone!
