Finally have the website stocked up again! Thanks to everyone for their patience

News:
MMC1 boards have been upgraded! They can now use 256K SRAM chips for both PRG-RAM or CHR-RAM. I've also added the ability for SXROM, SUROM and SOROM games. So now these boards can make just about every MMC1 variant there is!

NES MMC3 and SNES 32Mbit boards are back, and now have all discrete parts pre-soldered. This will make the boards quicker to assemble, and save people a bit of headache trying to figure out which capacitors to use

Parts list have been incorporated into the training documents to try and clean up the board pages. I've included links to Digikey to help people find the parts that they're looking for.

Yes, I have another batch being assembled, so they should be back in stock within a couple of weeks.

I'm having some trouble getting my MMC1 homebrew working on your board: http://forums.nesdev.com/viewtopi...

Can you comment on your MMC1 chip's power-up state? If you comment here I can pass it there.

Would love to buy some NES boards! Desoldering donors is a pain. My only issue is Id rather get the CIC and other parts myself. $4 for a CIC seems kinda expensive or is it just me?
If I order the CIC chip and 74HC... chips myself on ebay do they need to be programed or not? Any info on that would be great thanks.

The ATTiny does require a programmer if you buy it yourself but the 74 series ICs do not

Thanks. I have an USB Eprom programmer. Would I need an adatper or anything?

The last thing Im wondering about is other chips for AOROM for example. The CHR/PRG RAM chips.

The ATTiny is a DIP8 package, you will need to check your programmers device list to see if it is compatible

For the CHR/PRG RAM that is just a standard SRAM chip, I use and Alliance AS6C6264 that I bought from Mouser

As MrPete said, those are standard SRAM and don't require any programming. The console writes to them during gameplay.

Thank again for info.ya wasn't even thinking of that. Just like any other ram.
I have a mini pro model TL866CS. Only used for the EPROMs.

When I have the funds for everything I plan to buy. Kinda curious about a go with SNES.

SNES MegaROM boards are back in stock, new and improved!

Now easier to assemble (quick solder jumpers on the back instead of different chip placement).

Also, I haven't mentioned it here yet but I'm releasing a new line of repro/development boards that are fully programmable, so no soldering required! Just pop them into the programmer and write your game. These are part of my Retro Blaster project I've been working on for well over a year now. Pretty excited to have them almost done!

They are in the final testing phase right now, and then they'll be available for purchase. Planning early 2017.

Great news about the MegaRom boards.

Question -- when programming the SuperCIC chip (using the common GQ-4X), using the supercic-key.hex file, do you need to wipe the PIC12F629 first? Anything else? My initial attempt doesn't appear to have worked, so i'm curious if I'm doing something wrong... Note: When I reused a D411 from an existing board, board worked like a charm..

Edit -- answered my own question by following this Cfg setup
http://www.mcumall.com/forum/topi...

Edit2 -- looks like I spoke too soon.  SNES carts will now work on clone systems, but the supercic doesnt seem to work on my genuine SNES :-/
