Pretty much this. I'm collecting the different variants anyways so I needed the game no matter what. But for someone collecting just unique games, I can see them dismissing this game along with the other combos out there.

How did we decide that SMB/DH was a part of an NES set? It, too, was bundled with a console but we do count it as a separate game, right? Not just a variant since it was released as two different games? Just curious, because if you think about that, then that would make the M/Z combo needed for a complete NTSC set as well.

Either way, this is a pretty cool variant. There are some other variants out there that seem pretty rare as well. I have one coming to me in the mail, and when it gets here, I'll post it. But that's all it is, just a variant (#4 at that).

That's the same guy selling the sealed Metroid/Zelda combo for an insane price. lol That price isn't real that's for sure. The game by itself is like a $60 title right now. Sealed, eh, not sure on the price, but definitely not that.

Why?  To make more unnecessary hype?  It's worth whatever a Gamecube enthusiast is willing to pay.

I don't collect sealed (even though there are a few titles I want sealed, this isn't one of them), so to me this game is worth about $100 to me factory sealed. The only way I would pay more than was if it came with the bundle, then I can see myself dropping a little bit more cash. I don't think this game is in high enough demand to warrant a ton of cash....yet. Maybe in the future, but as of right now, not many people are after it from the looks of things, especially after it sealed. Same goes with the other dual games.

Those are just my thoughts though

What is the most ANY gamecube game has sold for? We are perhaps at the lowest point in terms of demand for the system that is just one generation old.  Two generations from now perhaps games for the system will be where SNES is now.  Only then will we know for sure if people are going to collect the system or if it will fall flat like some other systems have done.

Both Metorid and Zelda are available in different packaging so only someone trying to collect every varaitions will pay a premium. Well perhaps a few Zelda or Metorid collectors who must have everything will want it for the same reason.  You really need a flock of buyers looking to complete the entire set AND for them to count it as one of the needed games for it to go anywhere. If the game is added to the require game list and everyone tries to track it down before it gets too hard to find then it WILL be hard to find and the price could go high but that is a ways away.

Personally I want these, just because they are Zelda variants, and that's what I like. I'm not going for a full set of Game Cube games, and even when I do, I won't go for variations of each title, only the ones I really want, like Zelda.

Damn, I love these system bundles. A lot of those I had no idea existed! You have a very nice collection, it's awesome you're sharing some of it!

As for rarity with this Zelda/Metroid combo, I'd definitely say it's up there. I've seen several Pokemon Boxes, one of the rarest GameCube games, yet I hardly ever see these.

The problem with this is that it can be "assembled". All you need is the art. The rest of it is common.

cool answer.  helpful and insightful.

I'll rephrase:  WTB mint condition both the zelda/zelda and the metroid/zelda GC games sealed.  Anyone hit me with prices, you wont insult me.

Well typically, people who have been looking for a long time are willing to pay a higher price than some random guy who says "Hey, what's it worth, I want to buy one."  If I'm selling, I'm asking 4 figures.  If I'm buying, I'm probably offering 3-4x what the CIB is worth assuming there's no flaws in the wrap.  How's that for helpful and insightful.

I've never seen this game in person, for about 2 years now it has been in my mind as a game to keep an eye out for.

The problem for some games like fun n games and zelda metroid and a few others is there actually a big pain in the butt to search for, type in fun n games and you get 30 thousand auctions. you would pretty much have to look through every auction everyday to find the game included in a lot or not described very well. for lazy collectors like me it isnt worth the hassel

Do you have the kiosk and test discs? The Animal Crossing test disc will be the last one most people need to fill the set.

Hey now that is an easy way to go. Even Pokemon box is eliminated that way as it was mail order. The majority of the retail games are R1s and R2s. It won't take you long to wrap up that set at all.

Yeah, it was available at the New York City Poke Center. It was also available for mail order for a short period of time which might explain how the guy in Indiana got the copy I bought from him (since he's obviously not a collector).
