I need some suggestions on which game I should make out of my 4th copy of Tecmo Superbowl. I finally got around to making some repros this week and used up 3 copies making Mario Adventure, Earthbound, and the upgraded Castlevania II found here:

So, what is a worthwhile game to make and play so I can get rid of my final copy of Tecmo Superbowl? Chronicles of Radia War? Sugoru's Quest? Help me out here...

I've got a Tecmo NBA Basketball that I plan on turning into Downtown Special, just haven't felt like doing the wiring.

Also, Gradius AC is an awesome ROM hack of the original Gradius that requires a TKROM donor. The game has an option screen hacked in, and the battery gets used to save your settings and save your high score.

You were using Tecmo Super Bowl for a donor?!?!? You should have sold those off and bought a bunch of Deja Vu.

With Deja Vu there is a chance you get a revision of the board that does not work with repros  (MMC3A). With Tecmo Bowl you will always get the revisions that you can use (MMC3B and MMC3C) if I remember correctly.

Here is the problem: I like DejaVu.  I'm just not willing to ruin it, but Tecmo Superbowl I consider worthless. Also I found these copies out in the wild for 1-2 dollars each and I never ever find DejaVu. Except for the CIB I found once and I keep in my collection.

You are the only one apparently. TSB = $14, Deja Vu = $6

Real win.

My point was that you could have had twice as many donors instead of using TSB (unless the labels were majorly jacked or something).   Shadowgate, Base Wars, and Tecmo NBA are on the cheaper end as well if you didn't want to murder Deja Vu.

I work 50-56 hrs a week so my free time is valuable to me. The amount of work to sell and buy games for a savings of $32 just isn't worth it. Additionally, because I don't have that much free time I'm not looking to devote a ton of time to making reproductions, so I don't need more donors. Just looking to turn what I have on hand into something I would actually want to play. Anyway are there any other suggestions for TKROM? I'll give Blade Buster a look.

I suggest that save enabled hack of Super Mario Bros. 3. I need to set aside a TKROM for it as well.

If you like shooters at all, definitely Blade Buster.
