*update* - Paypal is issuing a refund on return of the carts.

So, a guy had up the flinstones 1 and 2 on ebay. pic was tiny, half covered in a sleeve.

he wanted $899 for both, i offered him $800, he agreed.

stupid me, i paid....

got this in the mail today.

I called the seller and asked him for a refund, that I would ship the items back with tracking and signature on delivery.

his response?

"fuck you, you win some, you lose some"

I told him I would file with paypal, my credit card, also the police. he said "go the fuck ahead, you can't prove shit, they won't do shit, go fuck yourself"

I have a paypal dispute open now. we'll see what happens.

DO NOT BUY FROM PEOPLESFINERAREGEMS

You should win the case, but whatever you do, DO NOT OPEN THE GAMES. Or if you do, don't tell eBay or the seller that you did. eBay is stupid about stuff like that, and they could think that you tampered with the game and void your return.

Just file not as described with the reason of counterfeit / bootleg. Definitely ship back with signature confirmation, though I'm not sure what happens if he doesn't sign for it? If he's a true scammer he'll know the return is coming and try to avoid his mail.

I hope you do get all of your money back but no one should be buying expensive loose carts without seeing boards these days. Especially on the high counterfeit targets like SE, F2 and SNES Hagane. Those are some of the highest targeted ones.

Ouch.... and thats why you always ask for more photos or even ask a few collectors what they think... its always shady when a seller has one photo on a high price item. Defiantely open it up right away and post some photos. You should also contact eBay and get a return.

i opened the box, took pics. I have no gamebit ...... I called him immediately and got his attitude.

funny thing is, he said he's in college for policing, and knows that the police cant do anything about it.

i'm pretty sure a $941 fraud, something can be done.

he said "it plays the game fine, fuck off, there's no difference"

i said "a knock off gucci bag is still a knock off, even if they still hold shit. it's still a fake at premium"

I rushed into it a bit. he had %100 feedback, was in canada (no need to bring it across the border and pay taxes).

i filed a dispute with paypal, called them too.

it looks like he has had the same items up for sale before. dunno if it's the same cart - or if he's pumping out repros.

I'm sorry you got scammed, but just by looking at his/her other auctions I wouldn't have expected a legit copy...

In the bottom left corner in the zoomed in picture the sticker reads "reproduction label"

Also super slimy of him to cover that little bit of writing with the sleeve in the photo.  Just goes to show he is intentionally trying to scam.

Reproduction Label text.

edit: beaten.

Although in the old auction, you can barely see "label" sticking out of the dust cover.

He shouldn't need to open it. Even if legit, he didn't pay $800 for a repro label.

Removed your first photo; even for scammers you can't post their personal info here.

As Jone said, don't tell ebay or the seller if you open it. Just the "reproduction label" should be enough to get your money back with a counterfeit item claim.

See my posts here. I was emailed this by this dick after calling him on it. It definitely was meant for a different inquiry:

"Mail me a personal chec for $700.00 Can and I will consider your offer, so this how this would work, if you wanna consider my offer of sending me a personal chec for $700 Can If you accept- let me know I will wait for a tracking number confirmation for the chec in the mail when I receive confirmation that you accept this offer and I received a tracking number I will remove the listing I await for your reply

- peoplesfineraregems"

Shitty man, you could've got a real one cheaper.

so, the police were here. they had him on speaker phone.

he said "the guy is just trying to send me back his fake, and get his money back"..... fuuuuuuuuuuuck.

anyway. he then stuck himself in the foot when he said "the game works, i have lots of them here and they all work"

who the hell has LOTS of flinstones surprise at dinosaur peak?!

he agreed to the officer on the phone that he would issue the refund once i sent the games.

but paypal said on the phone to hold onto it until they verify the address - because if it goes to the wrong place, they legally cant issue a refund.

so....i now have a fake dinosaur peak.

i suck. i'm a n00b.
