Got to looking at some Misc stuff... and it appears... your wife sprite is the same sprite with swapped pallets for each wife... well, this is a problem sort of... trying to find a way around it without the wife sprite looking like crap for all involved.

Thanks, Im moving through the sprites at a pretty good rate now, redoing some of them slightly, etc. All the girls are done, most of the towns folk. The fixing of the translation is the most time consuming part, just need a good long weekend to sort that out though.

I'm excited to see the final product.

Its coming along nicely as a summer project. 16 weeks to work on it now, no college classes until fall. Im sure I'll have no life for the next week or so because of Witcher 3, but other then that.

Continuing with some re-translation of the game. Some of the original dialog was truly cringe worthy now that i see it again in all its bad localization glory. I dunno, I would say I'm ~15% through the dialog first run. Will probably go back through every single line again to make sure everything is good.

Also.. grocery shop?

Got a few messages here and on my youtube channel, and yes, this is still alive. Just doing as much as I can when i have time. I would say the sprite pass is like 90% done, the only things that still really need work are special sprites that are going to be difficult because they mix up the pallets etc. As for re-translating the game, that is obviously taking a while considering all the dialog, but it too is coming along nicely. It will get there someday.

The sprites themselves Im trying to add a little more flavor and variety too. I want this to be faithful to the lore, but at the same time I want to kind of make it worth the upgrade, which is why there are things such as Jack having the lighter brown/blonde hair etc.

This topic popped up in a Google search for something Harvest Moon related and....yeah, I'm on board for this.

So, this being titled as a hack... Will I be able to load this onto a SNES flash cart when you release it? Or is this going to have to be played through an emulator?

No reason why it wouldnt work on a flash cart as far as I know. I dont have a flash cart to test it on, but I plan on doing so, or even putting it on a dedicated cart if I can.
