Meh.. I loved this game in the arcades but I'm not doing so well on NES. Here's my score for  now. If I get time to make another run I will update.

Scores are all up to date on the first post

@Kuro: Just a heads up and I let it slide this week since this is your first time playing in the contests, but we don't typically allow screenshots where you hit "print screen" on the computer for score submissions. For score submissions with an emulator, a picture of your computer screen is acceptable.

Oh man... I just tried the game, and it is god awful, worse than I remembered... next time can we at least play the SMS version?

Not a problem.  I revised the rules in the leaderboard thread this afternoon after reading them over and realizing it wasn't too clear on taking pictures from a computer.  Taping paper to the monitor is preferred but either option is okay.

Put in a few more sessions but haven't beat my previous score. Obviously love the arcade more but I haven't seen one of these machines anywhere near here.

After hours of barely getting over 100-150K I finally had a good score of 363,000. I'm done with NES Rampage forever! I'll stick with the midway classics version for any future building busting bonanzas.

Man, I have to say, I actually like this game more now that I'm playing it for points. You pay more attention to what nets the most value and keeping your life bar full.

Yeah I used to never care about anything in this game since I always played it co-op and we just continued. Learning to evade police, tanks, lightning & missiles made it like playing a new game for me. "Strategy Rampage" was something I never did before.

Beat the game at just over 8 million and decided to press on to see if the score rolls over.  Apparently the scoreboard has at least 8 digits, which is rare for an NES game.  Reached Day 31 on the second loop before quitting.

I don't understand why the programmers put 128 levels into this game.  It seems way overboard when the difficulty doesn't even increase throughout the game.

I always thought this game was hard until I realized that I could just wait for the little bomber guy to destroy the buildings for you.  Just stay off the bulidings, eat people, and don't get shot by the tanks, and you're home free.

Def.  I found it actually quite easy to play once you understood when to eat soldiers, where, and what to avoid and how.  It's actually something of a breeze other than these strange, somewhat random occurences when you see to take mega damage out of thin air.

Alright, here's my entry.  Hopefully this keeps me in the top ten.  Once you figure out how you should play to survive, it's actually quite easy, it's the occasional, weird shot of death that takes you out.  Not even sure what hit me exactly, I think the game glitches occasionally.  Like, I've noticed if you finish off a level and leave a building or two, concentrating on helicopters, it eventually goes haywire, you see this mega-glitched map (after about maybe a minute maximum) and then it goes to the next level.  Very weird.  Anyway, here we go:

Got the game figured out, but I can't stand this game anymore.
At least it's not like Tetris which gave me Tetris-themed nightmares for a week!

I would just open up "notepad" and type your name in the corner of your screen so you don't have to worry about it anymore
