I am on a mission to beat as many NES games as possible and after several requests from friends I have created a blog chronicalling my journey.  Feel free to check it out:

http://hoz14nes.wordpress.com/...

I am including a photo of me in front of the TV after beating each game as well as a rating, short review, and my history with the game.

Let me know what you think and how I can make it better.

Thanks!

Cool blog, I like the reviews and the layout. You got some toughies knocked off the list early on.

Very cool. I like to take pictures of the last screen when I beat games as well.

Cool! Simon's Quest as one of the first games just proves how awesome you are. Great blog! Nice strategy to get some unbeatables like Taboo and Color a Dinosaur out of the way so you can progress to the goods.

You're playing on an LCD with the games stretched out? Gross.

I've read your posts on Zelda 1, Final Fantasy, Duck Tales, and Castlevania so far. Awesome stuff! (I don't mind that the screen is stretched out, lol, play how you want).

Fun project and a cool blog. I'm a little in awe of anybody who can pass that damn clone boss room in Megaman 2 without cheating. I tried so many times... /sigh

I have a tube TV set up that I play on as well.  I just seem to have better luck playing on the LED upstairs instead of the 19" tube in my basement.  Certain games I can't play on the LED, such as Punch-Out due to the lag.

I guess I could put the TV in 4:3 mode but I just never think about it.

I've gotten used to playing NES games in widescreen.  Sure, it stretches the picture out, but for me the luxury of playing games in their natural aspect ratio is offset by how distracting it is to stare at a small box within a much larger one.  I'd love to hook up a CRT TV down here, but for overall convenience, the LCD has served me well.  Anyway, you seem to be making a lot of progress with the reviews.  I'm happy to see you that you're not shying away from the more difficult games in the NES catalogue.

Hey really awesome stuff! Love to see people going through games like this, this is where I find out about really obscure games.

I have two tube TVs set up downstairs but they are 19" compared to the 55" upstairs.  I usually only play downstairs if I have friends over so we can both play at the same time.  As far as the hard games go I am inspired by a buddy who has been knocking out some tough ones recently (Knight Rider, Batman, TMNT, Friday the 13th).

I didn't have anything to do tonight so I tackled an LJN game finally...

Playing on a CRT 19 in or smaller is how NES was intended to be played. I would also accept a C=64 monitor.

I am proud to announce I just beat my 150th NES game this weekend (Mickey's Adventures in Numberland) and have posted about it on my blog.

Follow along to read about each new game I beat. I am randomly selecting the order I play the games and don't choose the next game until the previous game is beaten. Unfortunately I didn't start this until well over 100 games were beaten which means most of my favorites have already been beaten and a lot of games no one wants to play are left.

The new blog posts are more fun as I write them as soon as I beat the game. The first 50 or so posts were pretty slim as I didn't decide to start the blog until well into the journey.

Anyway, hope you guys enjoy:
