You're playing on an LCD with the games stretched out? Gross.
I have a tube TV set up that I play on as well. I just seem to have better luck playing on the LED upstairs instead of the 19" tube in my basement. Certain games I can't play on the LED, such as Punch-Out due to the lag.
I guess I could put the TV in 4:3 mode but I just never think about it.
I've gotten used to playing NES games in widescreen. Sure, it stretches the picture out, but for me the luxury of playing games in their natural aspect ratio is offset by how distracting it is to stare at a small box within a much larger one. I'd love to hook up a CRT TV down here, but for overall convenience, the LCD has served me well. Anyway, you seem to be making a lot of progress with the reviews. I'm happy to see you that you're not shying away from the more difficult games in the NES catalogue.
