Caught this oddly listed New in box Family Fun Fitness pad with Sealed Athletic World still inside through a saved search.  Still didn't think it would go under the radar until the end of the auction.  I didn't bid anywhere near what this thing is worth, but still ended up winning.  Couldn't be happier getting something I thought would just evade me for the rest of time.  The condition is much better than I expected with only 2 tiny flaws, I figured it might arrive with shipping damages, but the seller double boxed it and shipped it well padded.  I've only ever seen 3 of these show up with the entire contents new in box in the last 10-15 years, so pretty happy to have this one!

That's a nice addition to your collection. I remember seeing these in my woolsworth store when I was a kid.

Is that what the W on the sticker is for?  What I figured but hadn't seen that version before.

The old NA rarity list has it as a 5/5/8 (Cart/Man/Box).  While the cart and manual may be close, I can say for certain the manual is on par with the box and not a 5.  You might see 3-6 come up per year; you will find more stadium events carts, so I can't say that is not an accurate assessment.   I would say the box is in the top 5-10 rarest NES boxes, and while we don't have a rarity guide for games in sealed condition, it is definitely one of the rarest with a single digit known population.  Maybe an R9?

I'm, not sure. It's possible because I do think Woolworth used just a W at times.

Thanks man, yeah yours is one of the only other ones I've ever seen.  Don't think people realize how rare this is.  It's like finding a new in box racermate.

Say you're no Jedi, sure, but you've got something now that very few people do, and you got it well under market and in great shape, on ebay of all places. That just doesn't happen. Way to go! Congratulations!

Ha! I bought one just like this when I was in college. It was actually a loose Stadium Events and the pad was thrown in and I had no idea the Athletic World was sealed. I ended up parting with all of it unfortunately. Was a sealed FFF AW worth now a days? Did this truly go under the radar and has much more value?

About what year was that?  Do you know who you sold it to or if they are still around?  That would be 4 total that I’ve ever seen/heard of it was left sealed (game and pad).  The sealed game is a single digit population, so sales are scarce.  The price I paid was about what a lower condition one sold for in around 2011, and a couple owners each (unaware of the other) quoted me over the $10k mark for their value.  The pad is several hundred in good shape, so I think $2k is a safe bet for new since there are only 3-4 known, so I’d say $12k is my estimated valuation.  Not looking to sell, it’s going in the collection and I may or may not sell my open versions of each, but if I did they would easily cover this purchase.  Until I get some offers, that would be my guess.  Defintely rarer than SE sealed and several other overhyped NES games.
