I have recently come to the conclusion that I will not have the money to obtain a high quality collection, so I am concentrating on a high quantity collection. I am also thinking of seeing just how many copies of SMB I can obtain as well. SO, if anyone has a bulk lot of such games, please let me know! I would like to keep my cost down to around $1.00 per cart. This may not pan out, but what the hell. My local Game Crazy sells SMB carts for 25 cents, but they are all out now. Anyone else have some???

Hey man, whatever works for ya Some people have found Stadium Event carts for $5 in the wild. It could happen to you as well! You don't have to spend the big bucks to be a collector, you just have to have the heart and love of one

I scammed people on NintendoAge a while back. Since then, I've been unwelcome. Do not do business with me!

Exactly. Start small...might get good stuff cheap if you keep your eyes peeled. Go for the big items when you can, but don't worry if the time doesn't come right away. I know what my goal is, but I know I likely won't achieve it any time soon. It's the pursuit of the goal that makes it worthwhile, not the end result. Also, if you want to keep your costs down, go loose. CIB games typically cost more, and you can trade any boxes/manuals/misc stuff you get with your games for more carts if you choose, or keep them if you decide to go CIB later on. But above all, have fun.

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

A high quantity collection, LOL.
I could sell you some commons for $2 a piece + shipping if you are interested.

Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia!

Same here -- I've got around 100 different games (most have mint labels) for $2 each + shipping as well.

You'll find that if you really look hard enough, you don't have to spend a lot to get 97% of the NES collection. Look at some of the guys here, such as Nistle, Burnambill333, and a few others -- these guys don't have a ton of cash to buy games with, but they're damn thrifty. They *find* deals where others do not and sell off extras to pay for more games. If you play your cards right, you could get an entire collection without spending a dime (seriously). Just ask those guys what they do, and I'm sure they'll tell you how to cut corners, find deals, etc.

Yep. been doing exactly that for 4 years, and managed to get every single game besides 4 of em. And used to never buy from ebay. Just hunted flea markets, thrift stores, and pawn shops. I pretty much had to do it this way, im only 21 years old and make a measely 9 bucks an hour, and cant always afford to pay top price for stuff. But i still managed to find pretty much every "FUN" Game to play in the wild. I used to have real awesome luck at sniping early BIN auctions too, thats until nistle started doing it 24/7 and now i dont have much luck LOL

feel free to check out my website below. i made a section explaing where and how i scored a lot of rare nes stuff. Its out there, ya just gotta look :-)
