EDIT: Since my mother dropped off all this stuff the collection bug has really really taken over, i have a few things here and there but now im really really looking into getting something going. I figured i would use this thread as a chronicle of my finds and everyone can watch the collection grow. If this is not cool just let me know but i always enjoy reading and seeing other peoples finds and im a real newbie to this so figured why not?

UPDATED 07/14/12: Actual NES finds!

Didnt have a chance or money to go do the usual garage selling this weekend. My mom stopped by and knocked on my door this morning and said come to her car. Got out there and there were 4 tubs of old game stuff she picked up at a garage sale for 25 bucks.

4 N64's all with power bricks but sadly only 1 set of RCA cables. One of them did have a RF Modulator attachment though..I have never seen this. 3 controllers that are in pretty rough shape gotta get them cleaned up and such.

A Sony Playstation with 2 controllers and cords, no games though.

2 NES controllers, a SNES and NES power brick, 2 RF cords, and one set of standard RCA cables.

A bunch of NES/SNES/N64 games

NES:

River City Ransom
Super Mario Bros
Pinball
Golf
Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt x4
Bases Loaded 2
Blaster Master
3d Worldrunner
Tecmo Bowl
Skate or Die
RBI Baseball (Tengen)
Mike Tysons Punchout
Ninja Gaiden 2

And a GAME GENIE!

SNES:

Super Mario World
Mortal Kombat
Cacoma Knight in Bizyland (I have never seen or heard of this game before)
Jurassic Park
Ms. Pac Man
Wanderers From Ys III
NBA Live 97
The Great Circus Mystery Starring Mickey and Minnie Mouse

N64:

Mario Kart
Goldeneye 007
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3
1080 Snowboarding
WCW/NWO Revenge

Hell of a good way to wake up this morning! I will get pics up soon still cleaning and testing this stuff. Sadly all of the SNES games have really really bad lables

Oh ya one other thing...a Game & Watch Safebuster sadly somone carved thier initials into the bottom of it. Im new to the collection scene pretty much so i dont know much about the Game and Watch series, but they seem to be rather uncommon? Anyone have any thoughts on this item?

Again ill get pics up soon!

Can't argue with free!

I've never heard of Cocoma Knight either...but just did a quick search on ebay and it looks like a cheap game ($6.00~ish). Still though, I wish my mom knew somewhat about games...

Cacoma Knight has gameplay very similar to Qix, but with cute backgrounds and a little bit of a story. I've been trying to beat it lately, but the final boss battle is giving me fits. That and I have to start over at the beginning every time.
Nice pickups. Cant beat free! River City Ransom is a must own classic.

Oh ya I am going to be cleaning up those 64's I got in the bundle, all but one work. The one that does not work has the reset button pushed all the way down and is stuck. Looks like a soda or something got spilled on it? I'm going to be ordering some bits to crack the case open to see if i can clean it up at all. What are the odds that its going to work after i clean it?

You never know. Alot of the time a good cleaning will fix things. Or it could be something as easy as a little broken piece of plastic and a little super glue will solve the problem.

Turtles in Time is $25, so you did pretty awesome on your craigslist lot!

Going to the next town over, had an older gentleman call about my wanted ad on craigslist. Said he knows he has 2 SNES and 1 NES along with games for eveything. Had them for his grandkids but since they are all grown up he does not need them anymore. I have to help clear out his storage shed to get to them, since they are waaay in the back apparently. Will post tomorrow with what i find....wish me lucks!

So my trip report from today. Drove the 30miles to see they guy and get the stuff outta his storage shed. Apparently he already had the stuff out when i got there. He had 4 NES, and 1 SNES and about 15games for the NES. First words out of his mouth was "If you are here for an amazing deal, its not going to happen, but ill make you a good deal". He said he looked online and the NES's were going for 90bucks each and the snes was worth 120. Said he would cut me a deal and sell me each system for half the going rate and 10 bucks per game. Every system looked it had rolled in the dirt for the past 10 years, completely dirty, same with the games. Needless to say i walked off empty handed.

However i did score Pokemon Fire Red, Pokemon Pinball, Goldenye and Perfect Dark for pretty cheap at a garage sale. No major pickups but there is always tomorrow.

Had a late night score last night. Had guy email me saying he had a couple of systems and games and he wanted 30 bucks for everything.

Is what i scored.

NES with Tecmo Super Bowl, Joust, Top Gun, Double Dragon, Mario/Duck Hunt

Jungle Green N64 with expansion pack along with Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, and a baseball game that i cant remember off the top of my head.

2 of the superpads for the 64 and a gold 64 controller.

Not too bad i think.

Again with the area i live in its hard to find things. But i did manage to score an Fire N64, a Play it Lout Red Gameboy and a NES (not pictured, but im gonna clean it up tonight and see if i got lucky, guy said it didnt work,  only paid 3 bucks for it) Overall i paid 17 for all 3 items.

No games at all this weekend, but the garage season is just starting! The collection is getting pretty good at this point!

Well i was going through the rest of the original tubs of stuff that got me started on collecting a few weeks ago...forgot there was an atari 2600 in there. There was something odd about this one though.

Just going to link to an album if thats cool.

http://imgur.com/a/XhnsE#eF9kv...

Its an Atari 2600 with a Promotional Use Only stamped on the bottom.

Anyone have any ideas, im assuming its pretty rare?

A friend of mine called told me he bought a present and if i wanted it i had to help him load and haul it. I now have a shiny display case to setup all my consoles!

The Super NES is a bit too long to actually fit in there unless i turn it sideways, i may just saw out a slot on the back pegboard though. Not sure yet. The fun part is going to get everything wired up and hooked in to the TV and Monitor! Thank god for A/V Switches.
