So, I had an idea recently. I was playing Ocarina of time 3d, and was nearly done with the Master Quest when it dawned on me... Was there a Legend of Zelda Master Quest?

The answer: Of course not! (Well, the second quest is kind of, but not as a mirrored version.)

Surprisingly, to me at least, was the fact that it wasn't to be found on romhacking.net. Had no one tried to make such a thing before? I knew what must be done... mirror the maps of the original NES Legend of Zelda and call it my own!

Naturally, I decided to ramp up the challenge a bit, being a test of a master, but not so much as to be impossible, *coughZeldaOutlandscough.* So far, I've finished designing Level 1, the now backwards Eagle. I swear it's not impossible, even though you don't get the sword until after level 1.

Item management is critical, and I screwed up in my demo, dying before completing the level. Anyways, if you're interested in this kind of thing, give it a look, leave a comment. Preferably on here, I don't go to youtube very often.

So many blue Octarocks so early, without so much as a sword! Sending the clear message to the player that you hate them, viscerally, at a very personal and intimate level.

Link is leaving the item shop on the opposite side of the screen, but otherwise, looks good!

Wouldn't the 2nd Quest be the NES Master Quest version?

Technically yes, but In OoT 3d, the master quest was mirrored and harder. I'm applying the same basic idea to the original. I also Managed to beat the first level, so you can see all of the tricks I have in store! It's not impossible, even without the sword, just hang on to as many rupies and bombs as you can!

Alright! Another bump/update! I have finished modding the overworld route to level 2! I'll do a full playthrough soon. Also, Once I've completed level 3, I'll set up a patch for anyone who wants to test it out.

Alright! So, I accidentally corrupted the data as I was going through some hex editing. Me being me, I tried to fix it, and it got worse. So, I was forced to start from the last backup I had made. Anyways, I'm back on track, and have finished the first eight dungeons. I will set up a playable demo if anyone wants. I'll eventually do a full release on cart when I finish this, and hopefully a CIB if there's enough interest. Anyways, let me know either here or via PM if you want a demo of the first 8 dungeons via ips patch.

Be sure to take your time and keep everything polished, rushing isn't usually a good thing.

Hah! I learned that one the hard way!

No more rushing! But at the same time, I have a lot of free time, so I can accomplish a lot even without any artificially increased speed. Also, that's a part of the reason I'm making a demo available so early, if there's something I missed, I'm sure someone will catch it!
