As part of the grand plan to collect info for the collection tool on all things Nintendo, I'm doing my part collecting information for Game & Watches.

Attached is my latest list of information, but I still need some more input from collectors.

The key pieces of information we still need for each game is:

Region (I need some info about the different regions, distributers etc)
Did it come with paperwork?
UPC code (barcode on the box)?
Distributer?

Post any questions here, or email me the updated spreadsheet to [email protected]

I will update this post with further info as it comes in.

This guy's been trying to sell his G&W collection for a while, might be worthwhile to get in contact with the seller for G&W info:

http://cgi.ebay.com/GAME-WATCH-GR...

I'd do it myself to help out, but I've got a bunch of stuff to take care of at the moment.

A guy in Sweden has a pretty impressive Game & Watch collection if i should say so myself. Here is his website:

http://www.stefan-larsson.se/...

Click on "Game & Watch" on the menu to the left and then click on each Game & Watch title to see the picture of his copy of the game. I havnt checked every picture, but i think all these Game & Watch games are the once that were sold in Scandinavia. I saw on the Mickey Mouse Game & Watch picture he has on his website that there were a swedish instruction included. I know that this guy collects games that were released in Scandinavia (he have every NES game with the SCN region code. I think he also has every SNES and Nintendo 64 games that were sold in Scandinavia as well, but i'm not quite sure about those (he has quite a few SNES and N64 games listed on his website atleast ) so maybe he know much info about the games that were released in Scandinavia

Maybe you can send him an e-mail and ask for some info about the Game & Watch His mail is [email protected] (it is also on his website).

Excellent, thanks user42, no new ones there, but I could validate all of the models. I believe (and this is an early guess) that the same instructions were universally released with the systems worldwide. Some local distributors used different boxes, and added localised instructions, but they always included the same model of console and the same instructions. Can you check through those manuals for anything that may indicate that they were a specific region's release (language, region code, distributer address etc)?

I only own a Nintendo Game & Watch of Oil Panic CIB. This was given to me by my god parents as a gift when I was a kid. Good thing I still have it.

I'll need some input from the higher authorities (read Dain & Burdger), since the Game & Watches have the same production code for the console, are the different distributors boxes merely a variant? What's the best way to treat these in the database since they had the same console and instruction booklet for each region, the differences were distributer boxes and regionalised extra instruction manuals?
