Caught this as it was listed 1 am Monday morning: http://cgi.ebay.com/270962231632... . It showed up in the mail today and I'm claiming a win on this one.

Everything shows wear (photos are smoothing everything  out) but solid. Box has usual wear around the edges. Tray has some creasing but is pretty good. Guide has been used but looks like it's all there, including the scratch n sniff cards. Game works and it looks like the battery is even still good.

I'm very happy overall. I've been waitnig for a loose cart to show up at my local shop since I missed the last one in August, and I figured it would be a long time before I owned a cib copy, if ever. Pretty crazy I get to mark it off my list for only $202 shipped.

also props to the guy for speedy delivery. hit the BIN 1 am monday, it was at the post office by the time I got to work at 8.

So I have a handful of random things I'm excited about.

First random things from today. Someone took a bunch of NES games into my local game shop so I make my way there after work. Before I pick up my intended purchases, I swing by the pawn shop next door. All said and done I walk away with this from the two stores:

Photobucket

Photobucket

random Atari 2600 carts I didn't have: Space Cavern, Jungle Hunt, Journey Escape
sold Genesis games, Mutant League Footbal and Hockey, Gunstar Heroes, and my first SG pirate, "Lethal Enforcers" with an Eternal Champions logo. no idea what it is yet, don't have a gen hooked up right now.
and Jack Nicklaus golf to top it off (project donor)
$10.60 for all that

at my intended destiation,
xbox Godzilla Save the Earth (no book :\ ) $8
watermelon n64 with atomic purple controller (and non matching ram cover, boo) $20
nes Adventure Island 3 $10
nes Cowboy Kid $5

I don't recall ever seeing those two NES games in there for at least the last 5 years, so I'm pumped about those

and to top it all off, I pulled this off ebay last week:

NES Die Hard CIB $36 bin
http://cgi.ebay.com/230780896784...

I'm pretty sure this was a solid 9+ before the doofus shipped it in a bubble mailer. Now there 's a next along the back edge and a corner is a bit smooshed. Still really nice overall, and you can't beat that price.

LOL, I just got Die Hard CIB too, and it's an absolute punk to find. I gotta say, I missed this because I do my searches w/ NES and not Nintendo. I swear the best priced items always have some sort of missing keyword in the search! Good job!

Picked these up at a pawn shop toady. I almost never find anything at this place because a collector friend has a buddy working there who saves the good games for him. $2 each!

Had a few items I was watching for show up on my favorite local shop's website the other day.

gen sparkster $3.99
nes shadow of the ninja $4.99
nes scat $4.99

hooray!

and as a bonus, savers had something worth buying that wasn't a complete ripoff- atari 2600 jr in the red lunchbox. box is in tough shape but everything inside looks pretty good. pretty happy to pay $10 for that. they usually want $10 for bare nes and snes consoles.

Wow, great buys. Especially since SCAT recently shot up (not to mention it's a fantastic - and hard - game). Shadow of the Ninja and Sparkster are great games, too.

Received this big box of snes goodies today. I snagged this as a bin on ebay for $170 shipped last week. Why would I pay $170 for speedy gonzales, scooby doo, and the like? well, there was one special cart in the listing that caught my attention.

as for other stuff, there was an actual snes deck, which I did not even notice when checking the l listing. There's also a tribal tap, which I had recently though about purchasing as I did not have one. There's also an asciiware controller, which I've had one of those since I bought my original snes, but I think the start button might be flaky. hopefully I can fix it as they are excellent controllers. Overall I'm pretty happy

5 or 10 minutes maybe. there was a tiny photo like the first one i posted, so nobody was going to actually see the cart. thankfully the guy had all the games listed in the description otherwise I would have skipped over it too.

I need to move. $10 for a bare system!? The thrift stores around me charge $40 for a bare system and the flea markets are $30 to $80 (lol?) for a bare system.

Nice finds! Lots of rare stuff. Crazy.

I get good stuff around here once in a while, but I spend a lot of time looking. I live in the middle of nowhere, so there's not a lot of competition to drive prices up, but there's also a low supply of stuff I want. There's an occasional flea market, but it's all wood knick knacks and old people junk. nothing like the big california flea markets or anything.

my best source is actually the local used cd shop. most of their business is dvd's now, but they still have the best stream of retro games. and they are content to use their 10 year old price guide, which means I can get Bubble Bobble 2 or EarthBound for $30 if they ever show up again.

So this one's a little different: I found this old card shuffler-I'm guessing 60s era- at savers for $4. It looked too neat to pass up. It's actually battery powered, running on 2 D batteries. I don't think I have anything else that takes D's.

The motor was  stuck so  I had to partially disassemble to get it working. I  was not prepared.
