I figured this thing would have fetched at least $10. Boy was I wrong.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I think $10 was a fair estimate. It ending on a Tuesday probably didn't help. I've had better success ending auctions on Sunday nights or Saturday afternoons (more people have down-time to bid). There being no manual severely hurts most disc games (and Genesis for that matter).

I've started just listing BINs for anything in the $15-30 range because in the instance where bidding doesnt meet my expectations, I don't want to go to the post office for a $2 sold item.

Thanks for the reply. I agree with the bin idea for stuff under $20. No manual did hurt it more than I thought too.

Perhaps this game only holds its $15 price because of bin listings?

Lesson learned here.

I set my starting prices to what I'd expect to get for it and then set a BIN for over retail so I can make some extra money on people's impatience. Stuff that's less than $10 I usually just take in bulk to the local gaming store for trade credit.

It was available from some seller like dealtavern brand new for $10 maybe two years ago. I have a stack of them. The game cube version is more uncommon though.

I always thought of this game as somewhat of a hidden gem. If I recall correctly I saw it had a pretty (really) low sales figure, like 10k or something. I don't think that Necessarily equates to low production run though, all of the extra copies could be sitting in a warehouse somewhere.

Yet another example of Capcom giving MegaMan fans what they don't want. Haven't actually played it, But I guess it's a fairly decent game aside from the fact that it's not a side scrolling Platformer

Auctions almost always disappoint for me. I rarely do them anymore, especially if I know what I want for the item. Plus, the auction format undersells by design because the winner gets the item by maxing out what someone else was willing to pay, not what the winner was willing to pay.

You're the unlucky guy in completed listings that everyone is going to look at and say "Why could I get it that cheap?". You probably picked a week no players were looking for a copy and collectors decided it wouldn't be worth the effort to track down a manual/card to complete it regardless of how cheap it was.

Ebay auctions have gone pretty drastically both ways for me.

One week I'll get $40 for a beat up Player's Choice Mario 64 (well over what I expected to get for it), and the next I'll get $2 for Resident Evil 4 on PS2.

I assume that it didn't go below shipping at least, so that's good I guess. Selling on Ebay is already a rip-off as it is.

I still don't know how people are selling shipping non-auction games for less than $5 and still make profit.

You know what? I’ve had people tell me, more than once, “if you didn’t have bad luck you’d have no luck at all”.

Is the above proper use of commas?

Selling on eBay takes a decent cut out after all the fees and shipping cost.

I try to sell local. Pricing my stuff at nearly what I’ll make after fees selling on eBay but it’s rare someone will buy from me. I’ll price stuff that sells for $25 on eBay for $15 local and no one touches it.

Yes, your comma usage here is fine; this would fall under nonrestrictive clause. An example sentence for this could be "My dog, who is brown, is an excellent runner."

I'll be using that one until the end. To me it not only makes sense but looks wrong without it in the cases, scenarios, and instances where I use it. They can't take it away from me; I need something to hold on to.

It's an appositive sentence. Additional info is added within the commas, however that information is not entirely necessary for the sentence to still make sense. It's bonus info.
