I waited to take the picture until after the game over screen.  If you let it go back to the title screen, then let it play the demo, it shows both Mario and Luigi.

I believe I hit phase 21 for that score.  The hardest phase for me to get by was 12...after that things seemed to get a lot easier.

It's showing this because you guys are starting another game, then snapping the picture.  Notice how nes_king is in p2 and his current score is only ~6k, but the high score is ~85k.

Finally broke 100K... gonna keep trying before I post my final score.

Bah. I tried Mario Bros to take a break from trying to beat Adventure Island, (I'm starting to hate that freaking game,) and I couldn't get in to the physics. I'm glad Mario dropped his Luigi slide by the time Super Mario Bros came out!

I made it somewhere in the P20's last night with around 255k.

Basically, once you get past Phase 20, they just repeat over-and-over. As far as I could tell it didn't get harder, it just becomes a test of endurance/patience. Basically, you start getting bored and slip up.

Mid 20's. I managed to clear 90k before P10 yesterday, but died a few stupid deaths afterward while maximizing combos. Only ended up with 188k that game.

I know what you mean about making stupid mistakes and dying! I've slapped myself in the forehead over idiot moves about 100 times.
Does the POW block ever come back if you use up all of it/part of it? I never end up using it because I want to save it for later, but if it regenerates at some point, I'll probably use it more.

The POW block comes back after every bonus round.

303,630.  I ended up doing it shortly after the 296k game, just because I was pissed I didn't break 300k.  Had a couple missed bonus rounds on this run though.

I know the contest is over and I know this isnt the highest score posted but since we all played it last week I have been kind of hooked and I had to post my new score!

Ok, I know I am probably the only one still playing this game but ever since it was the game of the week I have been playing pretty much every day.  Before today my high score was just over 300,00.... I just hit 608,980 and I had to post it!

I made it to level 64 and it took me about 40 mins give or take.... I dont know how high of a score I want to get to stop playing every day but I think I would be pretty happy to roll the score over at 1,000,000.
