Thought I'd start this new area off with a find I made this evening at Goodwill for $1.99 -- never did I imagine I'd find a Famicom multicart at a Goodwill!

Lol....that is quite a find. I don't think I've ever seen any stores sell even a normal famicom game let alone a multi. hehe Best I've ever done in the wild was a Super Mario RPG for $10 at a pawn shop. For the NES, it was a complete Flight of the Intruder for $1 at Salvation Army. Other than that, I have no luck in finding stuff :-/

Cool find
Have you tested the games yet? English Test, Match Picture, Word Game...sounds to me like you found a cartridge for one of those Famiclone educational systems!

I think you're right... I'm going to test it tonight and I'll post my findings. Either way, kinda cool!

I have never had any luck at a Goodwill store around here. Pawn shops have been alright, and there are couple "non-chain" game stores that buy/sell NES and whatnot. But that's about it :/

I've had a few good NES finds in Goodwill... and the pawn shops aren't too bad also.

Crazy that you all having found Famicom stuff at a thrift store. I'd never expect it. The closest I get to that is those Famiclone systems that double as the controller, but that's at flea markets. They kinds of neat because they come with game loaded in that are hacked, like Toy Story and Teletubbies. Otherwise, they're junk.

My latest thrift store find happened yesterday, found a CIB, though used, Challenge Set. Cost me $14. Not bad considering the thrift stores around where I live are often posh and expensive, not your average Goodwill.

Isn't that ironic? It's kind of the same thing here -- most of the goodwills upscale centers, and tend to be a bit pricey.

I never find jack shizzle at my Goodwills, I have finally stopped going. I went for about 2 years and only found like 10 Atari games, blah.

I saw this thread and had to ask. I have a famicom multicart I think its 64 in 1. Dont know anything about it or its value. I bought it with a bunch of stuff a few years ago. And it has a special convertor half cartridge that came with it. I can post a pic if anyone is intrested in seeing it.

Sure, post a pic. The converter is likely more valuable than the cart, but those are the kind of finds that make collecting interesting.

Thats pretty cool
Judging from the newness (is that even a word? lol) and the label style i would guess its from one of those newer Famicom clones. Afaik you can still buy brand new Famicom multicarts in Asia.

You can buy new multi-carts not in just east Asia, but also Russia and Turkey...and if I'm not mistaken, even in Brazil. You'd think they'd've quit making them by now.
