Hello everyone. Here are some pics of my newly acquired NES Test Cartridge. Has anyone seen one like this before? Is this a newly found variant, prototype,...? Did someone at a Repair Center switch labels? This cart is a 5 screw and appears to have never had a full size label on it. Any info on this is appreciated. I am going to put this up for sale after some research has been done. I know some of you guys would appreciate this a lot more than I would. I can take some more pics if anyone wants to see more.

That's def a Control Deck test cart judging by the program. There's a couple reasons why it has just a sticker label, the original case could have been damaged, or it was just a extra board that they put in a standard case and put a sticker on it. Board matches exactly to my control deck cart, so appears to be legit.

Do the labels look similar on the ROM's? Yeah thats a test cart, I am wondering if it's legit, but if the labels on the ROM's are like any other test cart, I'd say legit. I think this thing is so cool, somebody really used this cart to death!

If what Penguin says is true, that seems pretty cool. Variant?

If I can find it, I'd like to see what it's at. I doubt that it's ended already.

What do you think it should have sold for and why? Considering this is the only "variant" of this kind to surface in......how long?, it may be the rarest or the sh****est copy of this cart, which neither have been verified. Thanks for bidding and making the auction what it was intended to be, fetching the best price someone was willing to pay. In time, the historical prices will show what we both want to know, actual value. I enjoyed the limited time I had with this cart and hopefully someone else will enjoy and preserve this piece of NES history, whether it be worthless or valuable. I am not trying to argue with anyone, I am just trying to give as much and gain as much knowledge as possible from and to the NES collecting community as I can. Anyone with any information on this subject is welcome and encouraged to share your info with all of us. Thanks everyone.

I think it was at one time a cart with a label and got used and damaged to heck and back truthfully, Nintendo probably wouldn't send something like that out. And this is preserved, the ROM is online. The carts have been found and scanned, and this cart is in the worst condition probably possible. If the person who bought it is happy, good, but yeah it did go for the priced of a nice cart, but that's fine if the end buyer is happy.

Thanks Paul! If I find a crappier version I will definitely send it your way. Maybe I should have ran over it and sent it to you first. Anyway, I have started spending more time working on my
collection lately and will be posting my extras on here so be
looking for them. 4:30 comes really early so I gotta go now, talk to you guys later.
