What? Get the fook outta here, this year is going to be awesome! A XMAS multi cart with a LCD label that changes based upon the year. That's beyond cool!

+1

I just hope the addition of an LCD screen doesn't make it over $100 to produce...

I love the idea of a multicart, but I don't think I can afford $100 this year. It would be nice if a cheaper, non lcd label version was made available 😬

I think at one point Brian said between 60-70 dollars. It was either here or on his facebook page.

I'm actually excited for this one! I don't think the $100 mark (wherever this figure came from) is unreasonable, considering the work involved, not to mention a friggin cool LCD label! I just hope enough are made for me to secure one. I'm up for the 'complete set' = first preference option
Sucks being down under though, cause whatever price it is, add around 30% conversion and shipping for me

Oh believe me. I'm down for one at $100 with an LCD. But a lot of people may not be able to bank for one, as awesome as it is, and for those people, a multicart without the LCD screen would not be an unreasonable alternative. In fact if there's a cheaper option, I will spring for it.

2014 was $44. 2015 and 2016 were $45. If this one happens to be say $60, that's not that huge of an increase for a year with an LCD label and for it being a collection of all previous XMAS games. Even $100 (which is a figure someone just threw out as a discussion point and has in no way been suggested as the actual retail price) would be a bargain considering how much you're getting. Bottom line, if you could afford $50ish for a regular year, you can find a way to save a little extra and get this year. I doubt sales suffer at all from any potential price increase for just this year. If anything I would guess sales will be through the roof with it being a compilation and probably the first NES game with an LCD label that changes around.

I wonder how many people sell their old Xmas carts after getting this one. The icing on the cake would be if it could switch from one game to another after cycling through all the tunes on the title screen. Then there's Holy Jolly NES Mix which was a late bonus last year (and I added my own blinky lights to it...)

Glad you enjoyed it! Happy to add another festive option for people's NESeses. And that's such a sweet mod!

Yeah the fact that it's a compilation is what has me so excited about it. Don't need to pay a ton for the other releases on eBay

Agreed. Past releases have gotten spendy on eBay. I've pretty much accepted the fact I'll never track down '08, '09, and '10.

Thanks!   It was dead simple as the LEDs already had the blink circuits built in. No series resistors or oscillator circuits needed. With 30 blinkers I wonder about current draw though...

I would love to have something like this. I have never been able to get an x-mas cart and this seems like a great idea.

Just had a crazy thought. I wonder if it would be possible to have a lenticular box that switches between all the artwork from over the years. I might look into getting that done for my copy

Just some quick searching and apparently it's possible to do up to 20 images. So this is totally possible

In my defense, this is the post where I got the $100 price from. I just assumed it was confirmed lol!

$60 would definitely be reasonable though. I can afford $15 more than last year, for sure!

They aren't hard to get. He says "they are ready now" and he literally builds as many as people order from his website until January 1st.

I thought that there was some talk about having limited quantities this year.

+1. Best be prepared on day one. Brian definitely will not want to sit on unsold stock of LCD screens...

as a collector of many games from Brian, I definitely need to have this one... I wish, like many others have said, there was a way to "pre-order" to secure a cart.

regardless, somebody please holler when they are ready to be able to buy!

Are the games going to have any bug fixes or enhancements, or will they be exactly the same as the previous releases?
