This seller has a few $.99 BIN games on the bay atm...I was like wow, Contra CIb for .99! I was stoked...then saw $40 shipping. Are you allowed to charge that much? I would think not. Is there some kind of eBay rules against this?

They do it so they won't have to pay the ebay fees.

Please note my shipping is higher because my buy it now price is LOW, so do not email me asking why my shipping is so high. If you don't agree, don't buy. Thank you.

I also like the No Scammers!! at the end.

Don't buy from these epic douches. Report their listings - beware doing business with people who engage in shady fee-avoidance techniques.

If you buy something like this and end up needing to send it back wouldn't you only get the 99 cents and nothing back for the shipping? I've always been kinda curious about that.

I use garagebuy for Mac OS X and it does not tell me how much the maximum shipping is for the item that I am listing. I know that NES games are max 4 dollars. It flags me if it is too much. I thought that you couldnt even list it if your shipping is too high.

At least the shipping is $40 no matter where in the world it is going to be shipped too, so foreign buyers dont have to pay more for shipping hehe. But ye, $40 for shipping for 1 game is against Ebay's rules indeed, at least when it comes to normal shipping which cost much less than $40.

Nevermind what i said about international shipping, i see now that it says in the auction description that the seller doesnt ship international. It does say worldwide shipping under "Ships to:" though.

Guys, before you hang the guy, look where he's from. First of all, yes, what he's doing is shady. It is not as bad as you may think though considering he's from Ontario. www.ebay.ca... allows us to do this because our shipping prices are so stinkin' high. We constantly get less for more living here because we have to compete with shipping prices state side.

This is pushing it well beyond what ebay would presumably permit though. And it is an obvious fee circumvention. Just maybe not as crazy as you may think considering his raw shipping costs are going to be $15.xx for just a basic rate with DC to the states.

EDIT - just looked at some of his other BINs. Kid Icarus with $55 shipping hmm... Lynch him

I think so, smart saying no returns. He would have an assload of negatives if people returned his items only to get $.99 back. But the dude is shady nonetheless.

The first one of these I saw was 99 cents BIN with $20 shipping. Then I thought, well if that CIB Kid Icarus is for that price, I'd be all over that! Then I saw the KI's shipping was an epic $55 dollars. Just the worst kind of douchebag seller.
