Fire Hawk is not working either, gets to the title, but glitches soon after the demo, and just stops working when I press start. Baseball stars 2 is working, though there are a few graphics glitches in the menus. I'll add Fire Hawk as not working, unless someone has anything to say about it. BTW Bootay, if you want me to help you get the other games running, send me a PM with your email address .

EDIT: right now I'm using The Fox's savestate mappers, I dunno if it has something to do with Fire Hawk not working... I thought I tried all the games up to gameplay...

Yes Baseball Stars II has some major graphic glitches on the menus...And Firehawk does the same for me, crashes after I hit start.

Is there any way to play 4 player famicom games using the Powerpak? I tried getting some games going using a four score, but only the first two controllers would work.

I really don't know... I think the famicom has a different way to connect the japanese fourscore right? through the expansion port if I'm not mistaken. I guess that, if the games are japanese, they won't be able to map the 3rd and 4th controller right, because in a NES they go through the regular controller ports.

You would have to hack your NES to add Famicom 4 player support. That and the Four Score work completely diff so they aren't compatible.

There's a link that lists famicom games that are playable for people that don't speak japanese under "Resources".  I think there's a partial list of homebrews in the Brewery, and there are lists of "best NES hacks" (google it like that) on the net.

Now it's in my favorites

I was looking in collectors corner, because that's where I thought it was.

I have played the Pirate NES version of Super Mario World on the PowerPak mapper 90. I might add that this is the complete version of the game with level select. Pretty sure this ROM came from CaH4e3's site.

I'm having an issue. I got Powerpak in just a while ago but I can't get any CF to work. I have a pair of 1GB Sandisk CF cards and a 6GB Microdrive. Microdrive seems to not work at all, and the CF keeps reporting 72 bad format even though I've reformatted both cards dozen times in both 16 and 32. :bang head: I have Windows 7, and I tried the old command line /format as well.

I thought about finding new CF card locally but only 1 place still has CF and I'm not forking over $100 for an ultra high speed 16GB CF. :/ chkdsk didn't find any problem.

Any idea about the CF cards I have. or what to look for on eBay?

72 = hidden partition type at the beginning of the card. Windows is being stupid and not erasing it when you do the format.

I have no luck. I tried to reformat it in Linux using FAT but Powerpak reports 00 bad format.

At this time I don't have any other OS other than Windows 7, Ububtu, Gnome, and a custom linux variant built into one of my laptop (never used that one)

update: stole... er borrowed a 4GB CF card and tried it. it worked the first time. Now all I need is a save state archive. The ones I found via Google were done with emulator (save anywhere type) and not a proper 8k sram so those couldn't be used.

I know this is not a game, but I have had several problems in the past 24 hours trying to run my SNES PowerPak through a Game Doctor SF7 on a Super Famicom. Doesn't load some games and has graphical artifacts in others now sound and permanent blank screen freezing.
SNES PowerPak works perfectly fine when in Super Famicom without GD SF7.
Pointless but I thought I would mention my observation.

There are savestate files for all games at the end of the first post, which are arranged in folders for each game, five files per game. They are intended for the savestate mappers (32 K), but they work for the regular battery save too.

Just made a zip of all of the USA licensed games save flies, no more making your own! This even includes incompatible games for future use.

Remember, if the name of your .sav file and the name of your .nes file are the same, it will load the .sav file automatically.

Got my powerpak today and love it. Why hasn't Tusk made a box and manual for this yet? That would just complete it for me.

Note aside, I tried fixing Super Cars, setting it to "Vertical Mirrorring" in Nestopia, and now it works great. One more off the list.
