There were plenty of no calls today going either way. I'm big enough to admit that. I thought the worse no call was the no PI when the Pats dude fell down and then blatantly grabbed and tripped our receiver. That was a huge moment in the game, would have kept the momentum going our way. But again, woulda shoulda coulda. Fucking pass on the one yard line on 2nd down with a timeout left. Don't deserve to win after that decision.

Edelman's eyes are so glossed over and dialated. The man.

He was making a play for the ball. He has just as much right to it as the receiver.

The interception was legit. It was a bad call and a bad throw by Russell, shit happens.

Edelman should have won MVP. Brady just threw small throws all night and Edelman took a fucking beating to make some tough yards. He could barely get up after each catch.

Ive said since rumors he was walking after this year was he was going to his home town oakland. He will get paid. They actually need an RB. Other than latavious murray and whatever is left of MJD they have nothing. Mcfadden is a FA.

1. Pete Carroll deserves to be fired for letting that happen.
2. Since when can you nail receivers before the ball gets to them? Should be pass interference.
3. The next play, the center for the patriots flinched before any Seattle player came off sides, should have been another penalty on them.

I mean, for that horrible call. They deserve it. But it sucks to see so many other things that weren't right, but yet not challenged/challengable.

You can nail receivers in the first five yards

Doesnt apply here since it was going after the ball

but no you cant. You cant lay a hand on a receiver past the line of scrimmage. I dont know how people still dont know the rule change this year. You are allowed a free release now. Its why a bunch of rookie WRs made easy transitions this year.

Quest is actually right here. Espn radio earlier this week was talking about this and how it revitalized Gronk this year and made him virtually unstoppable.

yup. been preaching it earlier in this  thread too but people wouldnt listen. It makes a huuuuge difference, and basically neutralized the seahawks secondary because they lived on press coverage.

Earlier this week when lane said all that stuff about gronk, I was like he is admitting to a penalty then because you cant jam him anymore.

Actions that do not constitute pass interference include but are not limited to:

(a) Incidental contact by a defender's hands, arms, or body when both players are competing for the ball, or neither player is looking for the ball. If there is any question whether contact is incidental, the ruling shall be no interference.

They were both playing the ball, that was not PI sorry.

As a Pats fan I'm really happy we won it without any controversy.

That "Elderly Man" should probably be replaced by a competent fit young fellow.

As a Pats fan I'm sad that this is probably the start of the decline of the Brady/Belichick era.

P.S. Fuckin' Hell Yeah!

Not a huge fan of either team, but being a Niners fan requires that I root for the Pats. All I can say is what a game!

hahahahahahaha that is amazing.

It really will be a call that will echo for a long time.

What about Kearse's amazing catch that got them there?  Lets not forget about that.  Kearse really turned up after Harvin left- making some huge clutch plays.

Was it really incredible though? As he was falling it bounced off his leg by fluke and landed in his lap by luck. It was definitely an amazing set of events but that was nowhere near what tyree did.

If the Hawks would have won we would NEVER hear the end of Kearse's amazing catch.

And I couldn't blame them. That shit was awesome.

Thank god for not trusting their run game (for some reason).

I don't know if anybody has ever made this comparison before, but it was just dawning on me the similarities between Tom Brady and Tim Duncan. Tim & Tom. On their arrival they both basically turned franchises that never had been successful/elite into the model of excellence. They both won their first championship in their 2nd professional season. They both have had the fortune of having the same coach through their entire multi-decade career. They both won multiple championships before going through an extended stretch of not winning any, losing their first championship game/series late in their career, and then winning another title with a largely different group of guys years after the last one. Tom Brady just won his 3rd Super Bowl MVP, Tim Duncan has 3 NBA Finals MVP's. Both have won four titles in the 2000's (Duncan's 5th is from 1999).....I'm sure I could keep going and come up with more and more similarities. Of course Tim Duncan was a sure thing from the draft and Tom Brady was a total unknown, but it's pretty remarkable that they've been in completely different sports but their careers have been quite similar actually!

Wouldn't it be weird if Duncan was a Celtic?

C'mon now.....I'm still not exactly over that! Tim Duncan is banking them off the glass, and I haven't seen Ron Mercer in damn near a decade

Definitely a great game, and missed calls both ways. Pats should/could have won by 11. Should have been a whole new set of downs.

Great game, definitely in the top 5 Super Bowls I've witnessed. Nothing will ever beat Pats / Giants but this was a good one.

That was obviously the Final nail in the coffin for Lynch, he's gone. Wilson will get paid next year too. So some of the defense will likely breakup and this will be a different team next year.

And as much as I hate to say it, Brady may go down as the best QB of all-time. I still vote Montana but Brady definitely has the accolades now. He had a couple of mistakes but he made a legendary defense look average.

Yeah people really love Montana and the level of perfection that he had, but you really can't shit talk 6 Super Bowl appearances and 4 wins. This time field goals had nothing to do with it too which I think is big for the Patriots legacy too. Some people said that Tom Brady didn't need this Super Bowl to cement his place in history but I personally thought he needed it pretty bad. It had been 10 years since a win and after all the Deflategate talk this one was a must imo.
