Pft, there's no big-box Gyromite in there. I'm not impressed.

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

Wow. Why all the underscores, I wonder.

Math is pretty rough, obv just a placeholder. Can't blame him for settling!

That's one ugly SB ROB, though.

My guess is reserve not met for the ending price. It's a collector that doesn't have to sell and he states:

"I really hope this finds a good home, but if the price that I need to get is not met, I will gladly hang onto it. I'm not hard up for money, just being proactive about something else and being rational about things. I refuse to let this go with feelings of regret though, so I do need a certain amount in order to be satisfied with this decision."

But yeah most of that stuff is amazingly mint. I'm shocked he has a Balloon Fight with a tear at the top, as well as Soccer / DK with stickers on the front of the box. Those really seem out of place in a set like this.

That doesn't work either Ray, but thanks for going through all that work. My work doesn't allow photobucket, etc. I can only see pics hosted here on NA, or the main auction photos on eBay, no attached pics.

Hi everybody. It's my collection that I am selling. It's pretty amazing, and I'm not thrilled to be selling it. To answer some questions: Underscores make the title_longer_and_really_stand_out_on_ebay, I sure as hell wish I had a big box Gyromite(!) but the one included with the Deluxe Set is pretty sweet in any case and does make this a complete black box set after all - I'd say the second ROB helps make up for it too, the couple box tears, etc being questioned - well, I got to a very comfortable point with this thing and just STOPPED. Here are links to pics to help anyone interested really see what you are getting:

Here's my Nintendo Power collection I'm selling simultaneously: http://s1007.photobucket.com/albu...

The reserve on the Black Box collection I prefer to keep secret for fun reasons, but it's LESS than what I know I can sell it for in smaller chunks. Please don't give me hell over that!! This sale is very sensitive for me, as I'm sure you can imagine. I will gladly answer any questions about the items though!!

And yeah, DK Jr Math is the worst of the bunch and did NOT come from the guy that most of the Black Box stuff came from, unfortunately. But like dangevin said, can you blame me for settling?? haha

If you've already knocked a bit off of the part-out value as a basis for your reserve, then I say this will most likely sell.  Congrats on the beautiful items, hopefully someone from here wins em.

I really wish you would have parted these out on NA, save some fees, and make some more cash. I only need 2 or 3 games in this lot, only one semi rare. Just not worth it to me to foot a $1500+ purchase.

By the way, I am Alex aka the one that messaged you about your reserve

Regardless, good luck!

Well, you never know. What I think I should/will get may be just plain wrong and it won't sell. Considering what people value Power Pad games at these days, I think I'm good though. haha!

Honestly, if it doesn't sell I will be parting out some of it and nobody will see the actual 30 Black Box games from me again anytime soon, more than likely. I can afford not to sell but I will face other inconveniences so I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm not one to place a reserve on auctions but this was different...

And as far as the Nintendo Powers - tomorrow night I am going to try to figure out more about them regarding maps and everything else!

Also, I don't really have a reputation on here so I didn't even attempt to try to sell on here... I guess the ebay one carries over pretty well for the most part?
