wonder what a sealed copy would go for on ebay these days. Hasn't been a well-advertised sealed one on ebay in four years... went for 610 back then. That same copy sold recently for a lot more than that (and rightly so) privately and recently. The other copy I know of is mine and was in a relatively poorly advertised ebay auction maybe 2-2.5 years ago. Sold for only $300, lol, to the high bidder. I had to pay 1k though to get it from the high bidder some time back.

any guesses?

I think 1k is MORE than a bargain for it at this point for a sealed one -- a near mint copy (your recent sale) went for almost $500; a sealed copy IMO would be worth around $1,500 at minimum, $2,000 max.

Maybe you should put it on ebay and find out. Just set the reserve extremely high.

Actually this just reminded me of something, probably about 2 months ago, a friend pointed out a toploader with a BIN of something ridiculous like $15 (which he passed on for some reason!!) and of course I was at work when he sent the message, so it was long gone by the time I saw it. I can't remember who the user was that snagged it, but surprisingly it wasn't you!

yeah but the reserve would be so high it wouldn't be a "real" auction anyways, because I don't want to sell

I've never seen a sealed one for sell ever in my few years....here is what I have seen go down in the past 4 years:

Flintstones Surprise stuck on ebay in a store for $75 BIN for months - why did i not buy it

Stadium Events with Box NTSC sell for around $300ish

Stadium Events sealed NTSC sell for $3,500ish that was a STEAL

Bubble Bobble Part 2, Bubble Bobble, Rainbow Islands ALL COMPLETE IN SAME AUCTION $100 BIN - why did I not buy that

are you sure about the stadium events with box for $300 price? Doesn't seem right to me, I don't remember that one or any discussion about it.

The sealed SE was 3050 not 3500 (see avatar ). You won't hear me denying it was a steal. I do have buyatari to thank for not bidding me up on that one.
