Thanks man! Listed most stuff in the auctions thread. Although I'm holding onto Sonic and Mario & The olympic games because I don't seem to have it!

I'm not judging because I don't care who guys and sells whatever, but if you went and bought this stuff cheap and then immediately put them up for auction, that makes YOU the local reseller. I know this is a mind blowing revelation. Take some time to process and we will talk about it in next weeks session. Good scores though. Three toasters for $34 is a good deal all day. I've never seen that Mario Quiz Cards thing before.

Totally makes sense in a way, however by listing it I'm selling it for what people are willing to pay for it. I'm not grabbing it up and throwing a 60 dollar price tag on it. I'm also willing to bet this is more or less the norm for anyone hunting for games for themselves when they spot a deal.

And yeah I've never seen those cards either.

Very nice deal. I would have paid that for the two smash bros games by themselves.

lol, my thoughts exactly. how many of us here sell half the games we find to fund our collecting, but are quick to call others resellers... I do get upset at the people that are out there just buying and selling to make cash that could care less about gaming.

The price you ask doesn't change the scenario haha. You purchased the items to resell them for more , therefore you are a (the) local reseller. I don't care either way, I resell daily, it's just seems hypocritical to call someone else a reseller when you're conducting yourself in the same manner. It's a nice score either way and should net you some nice profit!

This. Sure I'm reselling it but I feel like there's a difference between us settling on a fair price or trading where someone may not have the oppotunity to purchase it and someone jacking it up to a point where its ridiculous because they've seen how much it's worth on the internet. I call it sending games to the Game Graveyard, games that are so overpriced no one ever gets to enjoy them. You can be a reseller, or you can be a reseller. You know?

Eh maybe I'm taking it the wrong way.

I agree that most of us on this forum are re-sellers, yeah we are collectors as well. But it's stupid to bash on how you beat a re-seller to this deal when you are re-selling it yourself. In my eyes there is no difference. It doesn't matter if you are listing it for less or more either way the pot shouldn't call the kettle black. Nice score though.

If resellers are really jacking up prices, then they wont actually hurt the market because they will put themselves out of business.

In my brain resellers do it JUST for the money. They don't collect and sell on the side. They just sell.

Thats what I meant, I suppose thats not a term to toss around lightly though. Sorry guys.  I feel like trying to build the collection is tough on the wallet at times, and if I can ease that a bit and get someone a game they want at a fair price then awesome.

Jesus people, just congratulate xmarltonx on a nice find and save the "who's a reseller" for another thread.

Nice find, btw.

My son... gives me Helpful Nintendo Hints that are far too complex for the adult mind to comprehend. Here's a verbatim example: "OK, there's Ganon and miniature Ganon and there's these things like jelly beans and the miniature Ganon is more powerfuller, because when you touch him the flying eagles come down and the octopus shoots red rocks and the swamp takes longer." And the hell of it is, I know he's right. - Dave Barry
