Well it's official now. Wii had a longer retail lifespan in the united states (12 years) than any console before it, save Atari (1977-1990). Still got a ways to go to beat Famicom (1983-2003).

That blows my mind.  If it gets cheap enough in a few months I might buy it unless there is another 360 game coming out afterwards.

Wouldn't the AES have run longer.  Came out in 1990 software discountinued in 2004.

Yeah, the Neo-Geo still has that crown. Retail and 1st-Party releases for 14+ years.

Pretty sure PS2 came out in 01 and had a game released on 2013 or 2014. 

Also PS3 will be 12 years next year.

Also also also the 360 had titles released at launch in 05 and had several games released in September and 1 so far in October. So also 12 years.

We sell more dancing game copies on Wii at our store than for all the other systems combined. 
No one buys dancing games on the modern systems.

The Wii is still getting support and games from others, people.

My wiimotes are all nonfunctional garbage, my Wii bricked a year ago. I honestly don't ever see myself playing the Wii again. It's nuts to me that some people are still buying this stuff.

It makes financial sense to come to the Wii. 100 million unit install base. People are still buying new games for it. Why not come out for the console? The people that play the Wii are into these types of games, so they'll keep making them. I don't see the issue. PS2 kept getting games up to at least FIFA '14 if I remember correctly due to their massive install base.
