I'm going to hijack this thread for a second since it seems like a good place for this. What about remade boxes? How can you tell the difference between original and a reprint. There was a guy on gtz that made some duckhunt box and stated that there was never a box made for that game and he made it so people would have a box for that game. he might be on here as well I don't know. I wish I could find the thread again but it looked good!

Edit ok found it.

That is uncletusk. The boxes were designed by him and a couple of others on here. It says right in the box that it was NOT made by nintendo. There is also a SMB/DH/WCT box as well.

Whole different animal...

As far as I know those are the only "reprint" boxes out there. And yes they are neat as hell.

^ I have a Starfox 2 box which has never been printed either. i2a2n2 is the only person I know who makes them and there's only a select few boxes that he made for some of the community members.

I understand however my point is if they can do it anybody can do it. Is there any way to determine if it is not original if someone took the time and invested the money to make something like this to sell as an original? Whether it was financially viable or not.

Someone in the intellivision community made reproduction boxes of all the rare games that were very close to the originals. http://www.beeslife.com/intvgames.... It's pretty tough to tell them apart (except there are never any real ones in that good of condition)

This one isn't an H-seam seal as far as I can tell, so I'm guessing it's a reseal. Hence why there's no bidders?

Yes, a really, really bad reseal.  It's been listed many times over and over.  Thankfully it seems that even noobs haven't taken the bait
