I have always been a huge Japanese music afficianado, any genre (as well as Korean). I was a big fan of J-metal like X and Loudness and have heard the catalogs of virtually every major Visual Kei band you can name (as well as many notable indie bands). Babymetal was never on my list of favorites though. To be honest I was never in to most of the bands that were particularly popular with western audiences, Dir en grey included, though they had their moments for me. If you don't like this, don't fail to overlook other more authentic J-metal bands like Dead End, who were not only an influence to traditional J-metal but also to visual pop-rock groups like L'arc en Ciel.
