nice photo manipulation. did you also edit the side planes and back of the box as well or just the cover?

only the cover (for NES label)... but I'm seriously thinking on doing a custom box

graphic editing is not my strong point, but here's one I made for Treasure of the Rudras.

am I the only person who dislikes the ratings on the labels?

does anyone know of a good printer to print these out with that can use generic glossy photo paper? I have a cheap cannon and it can't reproduce the black at all.  it's just a kinda dark gray.   or is there a service that won't look too closely at the files that can print nice laminated labels?

I don't think so, I like how they look in some carts, mostly those for mature audiences...

I checked out your DeviantArt link, how are you printing these labels to apply to the carts?

I have a couple that I wouldn't mind replacing the label on since they're partially torn off.

These are awesome. What's the best way to print them so they stick to the cart and look like the real labels? (I'm sure the answer is on these forums numerous times, but a quick search didn't turn up anything).

I go to a printer local, and I ask them to print them in a sticky-tabloid, in american terms sticker or glossy paper (something like that)

and they look pretty good and... in fact I print some today, here the sample to see what I mean...

the stickers are in the prints are in the bottom as you can see



this one has a little fail in the outline, but I can fix it (I believe)... this is a close up and you can see how they look




and last but not least important, the fail with the NES labels... they were not the correct size

If you're out of ideas, you should make a Super Mario All-Stars one. I see All-Stars carts with the label torn and ripped-off on eBay all the time.

While I'm loving your custom labels, thoughts of making an exact copy (or close to it) of a label and posting it kinda makes me cringe a bit. ):

Well, the MM2 one is a bit scary too, but at least that one was just shown and not posted. What you do with your own carts is cool, but man, all these people chiming in asking for requests for clean 1 to 1 copies... I just feel a little concerned.

I know that copying an exact label isn't greatly your concern, I see that those are NES short boxes and the full SNES boxes are for clamshells, and I see that you're doing this to fix your own stuff which is fine and all, but I don't want to see your stuff misused and a bunch of SNES Maddens get Earthbound stickers over them and sold on Ebay for a crazy profit.

aaah I see... the MM2 isn't the same, it looks pretty close, but even Megaman has varations on it to look different, in fact, at a beginning it was blue and yellow like the MM1 art...

probably I should do that, in that way people don't use them... or if they use them, I don't think they are going to sell something doesn't look like the original...

That's fine. As long as they're different than the originals somewhat then it'll keep the collectors from complaining (like me)or worst case getting scammed.

But still, your custom artwork is truly awesome and I hope to see more of your great work soon!

One of you talented people ought to make a label for Zombies ate my Neighbors using the variant box art.

I did a Mario Kart label too, but I changed the background to something more "purple" instead of blue...
I would like to change a lot more, but it's a lot of work and it's not much at the end...

well, this is not a label... I found a box ready to print on internet and I change it to this!!

that's a cartridge I will never own, it's so expensive that I can even buy a car or nearly a house here with that money...
