As much as I like to be a challenging competitor, I think I will be out of the top seeds for this game.
I don't have much time to play this week, and I personally never get myself into this game before. I'll probably try to do a decent score, but doubt I'll be nowhere near you and bimmy on this.

it's been a long time since I've played this game and it really shows....

I think this week will end up being 'who can remember where all the flowers are'   since it is a pretty easy game to beat without loosing a life once you've gone through it a couple of times.

this has got to be the easiest participation number to reach that I've seen on the contest.

If you have any GBA signage or kiosk I would be interested. Please send me a PM because I'm only here about once a month now but I'm still VERY interested in large system signage or small playable kiosks related to the GBA.

That's a very impressive score.  Congrats to you sir   I don't think I'm going to play any more of this tonight.  I'm starting to get bored with this game.

447

Photobucket

I going to say that there may be so cheaters with high scores here. I had 447 and I was just on Stage F till I got killed on the factory stage. I cleared all of Stages 0-E till I got killed and I only managed 447 flowers. Theres no way people can get 650+. Only if there actually not folowing the 1-life rule.

Now Playing:

NES - Journey to Silius
SNES -
GameBoy -
N64 -
SEGA Genesis - Earthworm Jim
PS4 - Final Fantasy XV
Wii / Wii U - Sin & Punishment: Star Successor

Well, you can get the 800+ flowers if you uncover every box you see in the game (tedious but necessary). I got to the level before fat cat, up to the caterpillar boss (so I only lacked fat cat's level flowers). In fact, I calculate you can get up to 870, because after I was killed, I proceeded to fat cat's, and that's around the number of flowers I got. My number of lifes and stars can be an indication of the legitimacy of my score.

E-Man, there have been NO cheaters here on this contest. Like Jorge just mentioned, it is possible to get 800+ flowers if you uncover every crate. Yes, it is tedious to uncover every crate, but it is possible to achieve every score in this thread with one life. If you have any concerns with scores in the future, please contact nesruler22, guillavoie, or myself through PMs. Please do not call out any scores in any of the contest threads. We are all on an honor system here and everyone puts in a good, honest effort.

Just a note to everyone, I will post the scores & update the leaderboard late tonight or some time tomorrow. I'm spending the night celebrating Halloween.

That's exactly the kind of comment that we don't want to see on the forum.
If you have any valid doubt, you can pm either Nesruler, Bimmy or myself and explain your point. Calling out regular players as cheaters on the board is not the right way to express your opinion on cheating.
Learn the lesson and enjoy next contest.

EDIT: LOL, sorry for the repeat, I have not read Bimmy's earlier post. I'm glad we think it the same way though

I hope my new update is on time, if not, old score is 806.

EDIT: Today Mexico City entered Central Standard Time, and here it was 8:43 PM when I last updated my score (my cellphone reflects this fact)... but I don't know if you're still in Central Daylight saving Time in the US. Here's the old update, if you consider it the correct one:

I don't see anyone that topped your previous score so it doesn't matter. for future reference I think "central" time is considered an hour behind the NA clock at the top of the page.

that's fine then, but just for the record: 1 life run! It's the first time I finish this game without dying.

Yeah, sorry man.  Your new score came in 45 minutes too late, so you're previous score of 806 will be your final score for this contest.  For future reference, the contests end at 10 PM NintendoAge time every Sunday, which is also 9 PM central time.  In the United States, we haven't gone off Daylight Saving Time.  That won't happen until November 7.  However, Congratulations on winning the contest, Jorge   You did a great job!  Also, congrats too on beating the game with 1 life.
