So I haven't been able to find but is there an nes rom for this game? They have a digital copy on the backerit page but I am not sure if the file is just nes rom. I intend to you use it on my AVS, does anyone know?

Not a rom. A Windows program.

There is no rom release. It's cartridge only. Digital release is coming out for Windows first with other platforms TBA. Where it's a licensed property and I'm also dealing with another publisher, releasing the game as just a straight-up rom is seen as being too risky. It's out of my hands.

So the digital is a emulator around the wrapper?.so no chance of extracting the rom.

It won't work natively on a NES, nope. It's not a standard NES rom. Even if you do extract it, it'll be obfuscated so it doesn't run properly.

Basically, the publisher doesn't want to make it as easy to create bootleg repros as spending a few bucks to get the game on Steam. I know that's not the intent of most people in the homebrew scene, but where this is a licensed property, everything needs to be done carefully in order to keep everyone involved happy.
