Eh, maybe.  I don't really know where that would ever come into play though.  Unless you "fly" to the final area or something...

But let's not get ahead of ourselves.  Worry about ground traversing, ice, conveyors and...  penguins.


There is no greater danger to a  penguin than getting torpedoed by a submarine!

Remember Megamen5? thats where the vehicles shit start and thats where the series start going down hill...oh wait...MMX and MM9.

I thought the mechs in MMX were awesome.

Also, when you started getting temporary vehicles (jet sled, wall climber, flying platforms) in MM2, I thought it was a neat addition.

Youre right,if its temporary and well made its fine for me,but if its like Wave man stage in MM5 its gonna be a pill of shit in my book...half the stage on a Water-jet was boring.

The Mech was a nice addition i agreed

I know a lot of the fans have mentioned they'd like to be involved someway, wheter it be helping with a sprite or two, design a trap, etc. You should have a exclusively fan made section that is hidden that has no actual impact on progression of the game. Lets everybody get involved some way.

Hey all. I just thought I'd announce that I intend to start a game engine very soon. I've also been doing some composing. I hope my music engine 2.0 is out soon.

I'll hopefully have something to show later in the month. I may need to recruit some graphics folks, but let's not get ahead of ourselves yet.

+1 on death counter, with games like these, it really adds to the sense of competition and self progress... IWBTG wouldn't have been the same without it, and it was one small detail I thought was missing from Burger King 1. At least show the death counter at the end... although, that would kill me, wondering how many deaths it's been all the way till the end. Too ADD to keep track; I'd likely get wrapped up in a section of the game and stop keeping track on accident.

Also, I've never heard anyone say C++ is annoying and go back to ASM... I've done a bit of C++, no ASM, but my CompSCI major buddy... well, I know he likes Java more than C++, but when you mention ASM, he gets this look in his eyes instantly as if he's warning that you're going into dangerous territory. He says it's the most tedious language.

Thoughts?

EDIT

Bionic Commando style arm! Or A JETPACK!! Like a booster pack with limited capacity that recharges when you are on the ground!  That would be an awesome way of hiding a lot of secrets earlier on, before you get the jetpack.  You could also put in some short cuts that are jetpack-only, so when you have to backtrack, it takes less time.  Like you did with the double jump.  And I vote yellow too.  It would be a little Donkey Kong, but I think it would look good.

Got the game the other day. It is amazing! I see no issues with dificulty. It is a challenge. Thats it. It makes it fun.

There is one issue I do have though. When you die, and restart at a check point, which happens alot, the game makes this deep bassy noise. I know it's the first note to the music in the check point rooms. Which in hole is nice. Just every time I die I hear this loud fucked up noice, and only this noise. Becuase I run out of that room hella fast. So I don't here any thing else. That is the only thing I would change. Kinda feel weird being the only person to notice this. But hay what ever. Thanx for making this. ps don't change too much. RASK1904

Honestly, I havnt had much time lately and wasnt really planning on working on another game, or at least not for a long time. I managed to work on a few tilesets and ideas today after talking with sivak.

Now that he's gotten some graphics, I have something to really strive for. I hope to have a game engine next week. I am fiddling with better collision techniques.

I hope you make the game a bit easier. The one hit kills suck! Mega man had a life bar and Mario had the mushrooms, throw me a bone here! Just a suggestion, other than that, I'm having a good time with the game.
