I kind of recall it being 20k but that seems too low. I usually have around 60k when I beat the first stage and that's with killing every enemy and rescuing all the POWs, so 50k would be a good participation requirement.

Updated my original post on page 1. This is a gem of a game and one to not take your eyes away from. I was on the 4th level and cleared the area of enemy near the heli pad, so I decided to take a sip of beer as my men were departing for the helicopter, only to be suddenly assaulted by a hind chopper; needless to say I spilled my beer on the table and floor sitting it down in time to shoot the chopper!!!

I didn't realize until talking with guillavoie that I forgot to put a participation score in the rules    I was in a hurry to get the rules finished up and totally forgot.  So, no worries for Jackal on a minimum score.

Here's my best run so far. I killed the level 3 boss' tank thrice, for disclosure's sake. 

There are a few spots with high point value enemies (choppers, for instance) where it's a matter of going back and forth to spawn a few extra; these are not infinite though. I watched the video mbd posted and that person missed a few of these by carrying on sooner than I did. I also got some decent extra points by going across all 3 bridges on the second-to-last level.

For beating the last boss without dying at all, I found a safer way. If you sit at the bottom left or right of the screen (I prefer left) he will almost never shoot the big cannon at you. Hug the wall, and pop up to shoot up and/or diagonally at him when he approaches. He killed me only once while I did this on one of my (many) runs.

Great game, I enjoyed it a lot.

Score: 525,040 (517,040 + 8,000)

Leaderboard will be updated in about an hour, after I sober up and clear the bad taste of Super Bases Loaded from my mouth.
And as expected, Gloves is taking the win for the 1st "shooter" game for the year so far.
