Here's something cool, Aladdin and The Lion King being released on the major platforms! (In physical formats too from the looks of it)

Don't worry, they've added both versions of Aladdin (Actually, all versions of both games are included)  Edit: Dang it, only Genesis version of Aladdin. I like that version, but I'd personally rather have both versions on there.

There's some rumors going around that these are HD remasters, but sadly, they're just emulated game roms with filter options.

No SNES version of Aladdin though. Only Genesis, Gameboy and Super Gameboy.
Lion King is getting the SNES version though.

Seriosly? Aww, man...

Well, looking back at the video, I can see where I've made the assumption.

Dang it. lol

SNES Aladdin was a Capcom game and all the ones on the collection are Virgin Games. This maybe the reason for not including the Super Nintendo version.

All those tasty tasty cheating features like Rewind means some folks will get to see the ending of Lion King for the first time.

I remember being surprised at how hard this game was when I was a kid. You would think that it would have been easier given the target audience. I felt the same way about the Jungle a book, but I never cared enough to beat that one.

Initially I was excited about this but now that the SNES Aladdin is not part of it, I lost all interest.

Those are both actually really good games especially for the price you can get the originals for.

Much better than some of the more rare tapes that people pay out the arse for.

I, like most everyone here, already have numerous versions of both games, but I'll for sure be buying this when it comes out for PS4.

For $15 I would buy this in a minute. For 30, no chance. Maybe if more games were included (I actually really like Jungle Book). If this drops to 10ish in the eshop I'll consider it.

I always found Aladdin to be the more difficult one as a kid. I could beat Lion King but I couldn't ever make that one jump in Aladdin, in the blue cavern where the big rock is rolling after you.

It's a shame they didn't make this the "Disney Interactive / Virgin Interactive Entertainment Collection" with all 4 of their games.

The Jungle Book is fun/looks great, and very few people have even played the late release of Pinocchio, which in my opinion has some of the most beautiful 16-bit hand drawn animation. It's not a bad game either once you get the hang of it. I also love the soundtrack by Allister Brimble.

I also found it interesting that they are using the artwork from the Disney video releases and not the original box art. Maybe it's a licensing thing.

I'm buying it mostly for the extras. Digital Eclipse (probably Frank Cifaldi is handling the scanning and curating of documents, etc), so it should be excellent. I also love ho they are including the 1993 CES floor demo rom for Aladdin. It was dumped and shared online in 2017, and has some pretty big differences from the final rom release.

Although I prefer the SNES to the Genesis ,the Genesis version of "Aladdin"is a superior game in regards to the SNES version .So I am good that this package does not include the SNES version ..

I agree, the licensing is to blame, but man... it would be so cool if Disney renewed the rights to the SNES game (which was made by Capcom iicr)

The reason for other games not being there is the simple fact that they weren't the focus on what's recently released and still fresh in the public's mind.

This package could've been more. The playback feature is cool, but I'm not sold on that gimmick alone. I understand the licensing dealio, but maybe if it were actually remastered like how everyone's rumoring it to be, then major yes.

Come on, Disney. I know me and a couple of other artist friends who would love to help you redraw everything in HD. Stop being lazy, invest a little, and make a package that's actually worth some fun.

Have to be a pass from me as well, neat that maybe these old games will get some exposure to a new audience, but I've already got them.

Not as good as the $20 Contra and CV packages. Should've licensed both Aladdins   It's not like they're putting much work into developing the game, put that development money to good use!

Well, here's something. I really really REALLY hope they keep the typo on the spine of Switch version.

LOL "LOIN King"

Check the end of the video, it's there. hahaha

This may be the reason Aladdin didn't make the MD mini cut.
