The PS2 section of my library has been gathering dust for a while now and I decided I'd start cleaning it up by playing through games in my backlog. The first game I began playing is Mark of the Kri. I'm sure you guys are familiar with it, I own it because it's known as a gem, but I've never sat down and played it. This game is awesome. It's always great as a gamer when you pop something in and it just blows you away, not average, not mediocre, you just immediately have fun and feel happy playing it.

For a while now when I look at my PS2 section I've thought that all the best games are on then PS3, but that is a really dumb idea. The PS2 still has some juice. Last year I played Maximo: Ghosts to Glory for the first time - amazing. (Haven't been able to get into the sequel, might try again)

I'm really gonna start playing more of these that I haven't gotten to. I'm looking at Tenchu and Way of the Samurai on the shelf and I just ordered Shinobi, and Max Payne, and I want to order Onimusha.

If you guys know of any other solid action platformers let me know. I'm also thinking about giving Vexx a shot.

I bought mark of kri new back in the day. It was a good game but didn't hold my interest enough to finish it.

My ps2 Collection consist of:
Tokyo extreme racer zero
Gt3
Way of the samurai
GTA, vice city, San Andreas

Really? I'm only on the third level, but the art style and voice acting are top of the line and it's a bit difficult here and there. It has good controls, a unique fighting mechanic, and has so far introduced new mechanics at a good pace.

I hope it doesn't get boring for me.

Mark of the kri wasn't a bad game. I just remember i lost interest. Maybe it gets repetitive.

The God of War games are pretty good.  Outrun 2006 Coast to Coast if you like racers.

Dude, I love collecting for and playing the PS2 to this day.

One of my fave Saturn games (Nights Into Dreams) is even on it, although it's Japanese-only.

I probably have around 100+ games, but here are a few highlights:

"Friends" for PS2 is just hiliarious to me. lol

People are missing out not getting into the PS2 library. Games are cheap and there's something for everyone there.

That's funny because I just found PS2 Friends at a flea market a few weeks ago for $2.  I couldn't help myself.

Tenchu is one of my favorite series and the PS2 games are the best. Ps2 is one of my favorite consoles and the library on it is stellar. Shinobi is another great one on the system, definitely give it a go.

I've not played it in a long time so perhaps nostalgia is playing a factor here but check out Freedom Fighters. It's a third person shooter with some simple squad mechanics. Dirge of Cerberus FF7 is a solid action game as well.

This is the extent of my collection. (Mind you I have; God of War, Killzone, MGS, Kingdom Hearts, Deus Ex, Zone of the Enders, Ico and Shadow of Colossus on PS3.) I don't play turn based RPG, but I migjt pick up some action RPG like Dark Cloud.

Agreed. If you're into the stealth ninja games, I would recommend both Red Ninja and Shinobido (Not Shinobi, but Shinobido)

Yeah, they have it only on the Japanese PS2, but I think it was made by some of the old Tenchu devs?

There's also a level creator, which takes me back to my Tenchu 2 days. lol

Ya, I like to give stealth games a go, I'll check those out. Does anyone like Tenchu Fatal Shadows? It gets bad reviews.

For an action RPG I prefer Star Ocean over Dark Cloud. Dark Cloud has procedurally generated levels and I am not a fan. There is also Kingdom Hearts. I highly recommend Tenchu, it was good on any system.

Gonna be totally honest with ya. Like many others I collect, it's on a long list of games I have backlogged, so I haven't played it yet.

Looks like a dungeon action game of sorts, not sure what it's about though.
