There is nothing bigger than a world cup final in football so revenge will be just a consolation.
So many goals, without so many good goalkeeping performances im sure there would have been over 200 goals this world cup.
I was actually disappointed in Messi.Barca was terrible this year and he didnt perform much either, and he should have done something more for Argentina in the big games. He didn't rise to the occasions in the big matches, and never plays for Argentina like he does in Barcelona, and also for me didn't deserve the golden ball, there were 3 or 4 players who deserved it a lot more.

I agree. And honestly he's really only going to get one last good chance to prove himself in the international stage in his lifetime.

The reason that Messi perform at Barcelona and not on the nation team, is that Barcelona is build around Messi.
And it irritates me that they guy NEVER smile and always hang his head, made me wanna punch him trough the TV!

And he gets the golden ball......Pft

Maybe start with making the final qualifying round for the first time in a while, haha.   Well, you did have De Guzman playing for Holland!

Did the "lololol" at the end not tip off that I was joking? Considering how big soccer is here, i'm really surprised how bad Canada is. My rep coach when I was 14 played for Canada at the world cup in the 80's.

Then sorry pal, I really thought you were just responding straight to him.

May I wish you a happy birthday as an apology?

The European Championships is a good torunament to get revenge. Unfortunately for Argentina they will not be able to participate in 2016
Nobody really cares about friendly matches.

Yeah friendlies mean nothing really.I really thought Argentina would win but when you cant open the score then you will lose to a good team that can play for 180 minutes not 120.
I would like to see Holland getting the Euro cup, they have been a great team for 4,5 years at least.

Actually they've always been a fairly decent sight. Just never won anything.

Yeah they have always been a great team to watch, lately they havent won anything, but yes they have won the Euro 1988 though and was very well deserved. They have gotten very close in this and the last world cup also, which is why i think they deserve something.

Netherlands always had a great team and were always good to watch. In Euro 88 they finally won something with players like Rijkaard,Gullit,Van Basten,Kouman etc.some of the best players in the world. They were awesome. They are always a great side, and have some great players now as well but the current generation can win something big too, they have come close twice.

Thought I'd push this to inform you guys that the Germany v Argentina friendly match will start in 15 minutes. I don't know if it's broadcasted in other countries as well but there are probably ways to watch it over the internet somehow.
Of course being a friendly it won't be nearly as intense but Germany has to prepare for the first EURO qualfying match on Sunday and Argentina will have almost the entire team minus Messi from the world cup final starting from the beginning.
Germany will start with a lot of players from the world cup that didn't have the chance to play as well as players that couldn't attend the world cup because of injuries or other reasons.
Looking forward to this

Gonna make another thread for the EURO qualifyers when they start this weekend .
At half time Argentina leads 2:0. Germany was playing well but slept two times in the defense and Argentina took those chances quite well. Gomez is playing for Germany again and he still has the same problem he had before in the national team: He can't fuckin score goals. He is working hard for the team but when he is alone in front of the keeper he just chokes. Happened three times already in the first half.
While I'm writing this Argentina scored their third goal. Terrible defending again and Weidenfeller who came up as a substitute for Neuer looked like he was still on the bench. Meh

Edit: 4:0 for Argentina now. I think Argentina is playing this good because Messi isn't there. You can really see them playing as a team. World class combo against that subpar defense. To be fair Boateng and Hummels aren't playxing but still.
While I am writing this Germany scored the 1:4 lol. That's three goals in the first six minutes of the second half. Weird game

So the game ended 2:4. Not too disappointed as it shows the things our team has to work on. Kramer showed that he will have a future in this german team and I also really liked RĂ¼diger who came on for Germany about 20 minutes before the end. Very smart and strong player.
The offense is still really good but we'll have to build up the strength of the defense and get some routine during the EURO qualifyers. On Sunday Germany will play their first qulifying match against Scotland
