I go to that one, Solon, Cuyahoga Falls, and Parma. All the rest are really crappy and usually not worth it. Alot of them you are right, $5 is the lowest they go. If you haven't been, check out the one in Cuyahoga Falls. That is the entire chain's best performing store and once you get inside and see their selection you will see why. They always have tons of rares on display behind the counter although I did yell at the guy last time I was there cause he wouldnt come down on the $70 he wanted for Zombie Nation.

Yeah I'm in North Royalton which is basically the same distance between the two stores. I elected to go to the Medina one though. I guess that was a mistake haha. I'll have to check out the Parma one this week because I am really hoping I can get the couple of NES games I want. None of them are rare at all, but the prices at the Medina store were ridiculous

And once again I fail at quoting.

Richmond, eh?

I'm going to a video game convention (sorta) thing there next weekend.  Have a buddy that lives up there and his house is packed with arcades, xboxes, tv's, and video games.  We set up 5 xboxes with their own tvs in one room and the same thing in another and play system link team games like Left 4 Dead, Gears of War, etc.

We dub it "VideoGeddon".

Here is a video from the first one:

It's so much bigger and better than that now though.  We started taking it seriously, lol.

Packards isn't worth mentioning, honestly. $35 for a Tecmo Super Bowl cart.

G2k games is a decently priced chain in Virginia and TN. They've got a store in Abingdon VA, and stores in Kingsport and Johnson City TN.

I've found a few good things at Packards.

G2K is already listed on the list.  Pretty neat little chain.

I was just going to come on here and request that a list be started! This is great. I think we should include addresses so we can easily put them into the old GPS devices, especially if they aren't well known stores or chains.

Double Post! Just went on a mini-road trip with the girlfriend, and I couldn't find any video game stores besides Gamestop... lame. And nothing was coming up in the GPS either, it was frustrating! Hoping this list fleshes out so the next road trip will be more successful VG wise.

Also, how about a list of good flea markets and their addresses and normal hours?

Good luck!

There are probably a bunch more retro game stores in the area, but these are the ones I know/been to so far.

Game Trader (Beaverton, OR) not related to the one in Tennessee
Video Game Wizards (Portland, OR)
Classics (Kelso, WA)
Pink Gorilla (Seattle, WA)

I'm sure other NA members have visited and could chime in about them too. But I only picked up Rad Racer for $5, which is expensive for that game, but that was about as cheap as they went with NES games. I didn't want the trip to be wasted out there, plus it expanded my NES library by 50% hahaha.

Yeah, the thing about the Exchange is, like most places, the games that most people want are expensive.  You'll find deals there on the harder to find and more obscure games though.  It definitely is not the place to go to start up a collection.

Sorry my last post did not show up. The shop is called Retro Gamer and we are in Huntsville AL.

I love how you are distinguishing who is a part of NA/hooks up NA members.

Welcome.

I updated you and added a little note.  NA members should be recognized for such awesome things

I've found several good things there... almost all overpriced.

If you are really adding all stores that are retro oriented for Ohio you can add....

James' Games - Lakewood, Ohio
Video Game Connection - Cleveland, Ohio
Big Fun Toy Store (retro toys and video games) - Cleveland Heights, Ohio
World of Games - Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio
The Next Level - Chardon, Ohio (very small selection last time I was there but great pricing)

^ of all those Video Game Connection is by far the best and the owner, Mike, is the one that puts on the CCAG show every year and he's a cool dude.

there are also more of The Exchange. There is one in Kent, Elyria, North Olmstead, Lakewood, Sandusky, and 3 in Canton. Just none of these ones have the great stock the others I mentioned.

All updated, thanks mayne.

Is "James' Games"... a playoff of "The James Gang" from OH, maybe? lol

Games Plus in Memphis

the popular stuff is about 3-10X too high but you can find some mid-rare games for a decent price

If you have any GBA signage or kiosk I would be interested. Please send me a PM because I'm only here about once a month now but I'm still VERY interested in large system signage or small playable kiosks related to the GBA.
