Man doomsday warrior is so garbage. Was one of the first to go in the old downsize. Definitely some major garbage in this list

Robocop 3? BLEGH! The NES version was so much better (even the title screen music was better than that SNES turd)
Also, I remember buying D-force for like 5 bucks in a bargain bin. Seeing it was a shooter, I thought I lucked out at first, but soon after I found out why it ended up in a bargain bin in the first place.

Your write-ups are incredible. I particularly liked your remark about everything before and after Barbie Super Model! Hope you don't get burned out after all these crappy (mostly) sports titles! I'll play (or hateplay) just about anything except sports games and you really are a trooper for taking the time to play, much less write words, about them!

Any chance you could drop a major spoiler and let us know what your #1 will be, and why it's Super Mario World?

I will say it is one of the five usual suspects

I'm kind of curious to see how much of a well deserved beating Actraiser 2 will get. They took every fun perk of the original and removed them along with the battery save and then added a horrible gameplay mechanic that's almost game breaking.

I love reading your write-ups. Took me the better part of my work day to get through it all. Having owned and played all the games you've listed, I have to say I 98% agree with everything you've said. The only game I actually enjoyed from the list was D-Force. It's not that you are wrong about it, it's just that I happened to enjoy it. I liked the music actually. I can't wait to read the next installment!

Thanks for confirming most of these games are indeed terrible. I've played about half of them... once. Looking forward to the top 300 or so.

Another batch of great writing. Thoroughly entertaining, and much more thoughtful criticism than anything I have seen from any "youtube personality".

Thank you.  I have to write and re-write every installment 3-4 times if not more to be happy with it.  The next 50 are going to be slow going as I had less immediate familiarity with them than with this batch

Last bump

- Fixed a couple more errors. Somehow I can read over something 10 times and not notice a duplicate word or misspelling the first nine times

- Volume III is about 40% done. I'm targetting the middle/end of January to get it up

I look forward to it. That's a ton of writing, and it probably gets really repetitive in the realm of crappy games. Great content though. Bea should create her own ranking so we can compare and argue about just how crappy these games are.

Except Bea would put all of those games in the top 200

Lies! Pit Fighter would still be a very bottom game, but Robocop 3 is top 50 for sure!

I hear ya, I am the same way. When I write something seriously, after I feel it's finished, I look for typos, better ways to express my meaning, more eloquent turns of phrase. I read it over and over until I am sick of it, usually four or five times for ~700 words. Then I read it at least once more a couple days later. Then I send in. When it gets posted, I read it again... and find more mistakes!

Bravo!

I thoroughly enjoyed the read. I enjoyed Captain America and the Avengers though, it was fairly faithful to the arcade game. Yes, brutally hard, but it was decent enough.

Okay, final bump (promise)

Lots of sick kids, a new Switch, and trying to do a bunch of RPGs back-to-back have all slowed me down a bit.  But I'm still on track for something before the end of the month

Okay, I'm a habitual liar I guess. Final, final bump, cross my heart...

I think bronze is pretty busy, so if anyone wants to proofread volume III for me, I'm doing my re-writes and usually need help spotting the areas where I repeat myself, or the flow needs help, or the writing is completely nonsensical.

Fair warning that it would spoil the entire list if you were curious enough to click through the entire thread

I guess I could help with that, but since I am not a native English speaker, my proofreading skills are subpar.
Of course, considering my paltry skill level in the English language, if I can understand the idea you transcribed in words, so will anyone else with a flimsy grasp of the English vernacular.

I just discovered that my subscription notifications for your topic mysteriously stopped on December 28! Had no idea you'd made further progress -- will take a look later today and see how I can help.
