OUCH! MBD i kinda feel bad about posting that! but I'm sure you'll get a way better score when all is said and done. I do not feel bad, however, for this footageof JamesBlowbot and Stitchardhead meeting up last week:

Second part w the gears always does me in. I've lost my groove for the day, barely making it to Volkmire's now. I should have captured my first score today, lol.

 

Ahhhhhh yeah, that part when I was trying to get through that level pissed me off a little bit.

The only part that will get me in that is the second gear when you have to jump up out of the water sometimes I just don't swim fast enough for some reason.

Also the last gear breaks up the pattern at the last section when you go left, right, left, right you end on two rights.

The thing is......if you manage to get passed that section you get to an infinite continues loop until you can practice the last section of the stage as that checkpoint has a 1-up right at the beginning by that shark.

If you can literally progress 30 seconds from where you are now you "will" pass Terra Tubes.

 

I assume he meant 2nd part to the level, which would be the first set of gears

 

Where are you on the stage? Are we both stuck at the same spot?
 

Yeah I think you are right......I remember that being where he was having troubles when me and him were going at this game last year.

Just to clarify for everyone

Volkmire's Jet checkpoints:
1st set of gates
Fireballs
Missiles
2nd set of gates
3rd set of gates

Okay when you do that fireball section do your eyes get all twitchy? Because mine sure as hell do.

Yeah, right after missiles is where I got. That's where shit gets crazy and becomes too fast for me to react.

With warps I can beat Intruder Excluder and get to Terra Tubes. That's as far as I've made it.

 

I think I'm gonna have to try and beat Battlemaniacs soon. With so many levels cut out I figure it would be a piece of cake after this

The fireballs and missiles were a cakewalk then those fast gates hell no!

I have it but have not gotten very far.....I just bought the GameBoy game in the spirit of this week.

I think I only need the other GameBoy game and I own all the Battletoads games....at least one version of each anyway.
 

That is a huge wall in the game that will make lots of people stop wanting to get further.

The pattern is pretty simple though if you think about it.....the problem I think most people have is that they try to react to the gates rather than actually learn the patterns.

Hell, I have said it many times before I watched a video and DREW a map on paper to learn the gate patterns.
 

I'll probably beat the game at some point warping past Volkmire's.

I haven't played Clinger Winger yet. Is it worse than Volkmire's?

Definitely sitting out of this one. Would even with I didn't have a busted hand.  
It and I have story together and I hate it.

Some of these regular enemies on the last level are honestly so ridiculous........

I've seen the Bootsy Beats episode about the last level. There's a part near the end that doesn't look fun where you must quickly hop on a bunch of small platforms while an enemy chases you.
