Smokemonster says that with the new jailbreak firmware out tomorrow at noon eastern, comes special chip support! If this covers the majority (or all of them) holy crap, this is gonna be awesome and Analogue better be ready to ship more units out!

I feel like they are holding a second batch of NT mini's in their back pocket until sales slump.

When it goes live, it'll add DSP1-DSP4 and the Mega Man X2/X3 chip!

Awesome that I don't have to buy Super Famicom copies of Super Mario Kart (or MMX2/X3) now to play them until I get an SD2SNES!

I don't think so. Given the cost of that aluminum shell I have to think they sent every single one out the door.

Sorry, what I meant was; if I was them, I would feel good knowing that if money ever got tight, or demand for the Super Nt and Mega SG got too slow to keep manufaturing, they could begin manufacturing Nt Mini's again and there are people ready and willing to buy them.

I downloaded it and I'm trying to flash it, but it's taking forever. Anybody else got any idea of how long it's supposed to take?

*looking at their website/store*

Why is their NES so expensive? It's almost double that of their SNES/GEN ones.

Aluminum shell vs a plastic shell.

Although the Nt Mini (NES) has been sold out for a couple of years now.

Great, pay almost double price for the casing   Folks, electronics are like people, it's what's inside that counts.

Analogue started out with high end console clones for Neo Geo. No one batted an eye. And the Nt mini sold out quickly. And sell second hand for twice that $449 tag.

It's only been the Super Nt and the Mega Sg that they started selling cheaper clones.

Somehow I missed this, but I guess since I have a SD2SNES I'm just not feeling it. Titling it special chip support is nice, but it's lacking some whoppers unless I missed that. It's like I guess at the level the SD2SNES was before Redguy got his hands into it and put the long missing big ones in there (FX, SA, etc.) Still if you have no kit that is impressive.

I'd rather see some Super Gameboy support without having to own one even if I already do, perhaps all GB (advance included) would be sweet.

Is it still hard to order from Analogue? I remember when I order my Super NT I had to call the bank and ask them to temporarily turn off the fraud protection on my card for it to go through. I kind of want a Mega SG because it has GG support, but I don't like having to jump through hoops to spend $200+.

I've not heard of any change. I didn't buy mine through them because I thought the price on shipping was kind of extortionate so I took my time a bit and went through ebay ending up with a console that got used at best an hour or two as the buyer impulse purchased, then shelved the thing. I remember them having that issue much like krikzz did with his sales through his site until he recently started using amazon instead.

I want the Mega SG too strictly for GG, but I’m waiting for there analog output so I can play on a CRT.  The GG is the only system I want solid clone hardware for, rather than playing on an OG device.

remind me, how many hundreds of dollars did you spend on reproduction cartridges before you learned that lesson yourself and bought everdrives?
