Let us begin this tale with what transpired yesterday,
I woke up earlier then expected and rolled around bed for a while before getting up and hitting garage sales up (for the second time this summer). I went within a 15 KM radius of my home and snagged these games, apparently someone else was there before me.
$30:
Fast forward to today. I had initially emailed this person a few days ago as they had the following N64 collection listed for $350 or best offer. I had offered $240 but he said that someone had offered $330 and that he was going to sell to him.
He texted me last night that it was still available and that he would accept the $240 - which was awesome but he lived in Niagara Falls (1.5 Hour Drive). So I planned to reach there at 1 PM but traffic was intense and he told me if I couldn't get there by 2 PM he would leave. GPS said I would get there by 2:15 but I proved that machine wrong and ended up snagging the deal.
$240:
I had also been speaking to a lady about her NES and SNES bundle that was coincidentally only 10 minutes away from where I was meeting the N64 guy. We ended up deciding on $75 and I snagged two systems and games.
$75
Now to the good stuff!
So after the $75 lot, I decided to go Pawn Shop and Thrift Store huntin, needless to say I found absolutely nothing. I was about to leave but I said screw it, let me check Kijiji. I ended up seeing an EXCELLENT deal on a NES Deluxe set CIB with a bunch of CIB and loose games. The title had said sold pending but I contacted him asking about it's availability and if the guy had come. He said to wait until 4 PM so I sat in a random parking lot for about 45 minutes until 3:30 and he told me to call him.
Called him up, we agreed on a VERY reasonable price and turns out he was only 5 minutes away from where I was parked in Niagara Falls once again!
Here is the uber awesome sexy lot!
He said the Stack Up was barely played and the contents definitely show that!
All in all, a VERY excellent day of hunting in the wild! My wallet and bank account took a decent hit but I am very pleased.
Everything except the Stack Up CIB is for sale / trade.
