You can share my tent.

Is that a "brokeback mountain" reference?

Yes it does....anyways, any progress or anything made on this?

I was also thinking of another option.  For the expo last year my wife and I drove into the Pigeon Forge area which was only about 35-40 min away.  We have been up there several times and stayed in cabins and I know they have some big ass cabins that hold like 30 people.  I'll look it up in a little bit and see if it is rented out by the the rental company I have family working at.  Don't know if this is something anyone would be interested or how much more of a drive it would be.  I know there is a bunch to do around the Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg area and we would have the cabin for some good gaming.....just a thought, let me know what you guys think.

A giant NA cabin would actually be a pretty good idea. Most of them have pool tables and hot tubs as well. Some of the ones up there will hold 50-60 peeps cause they are monster cabins! That would actually be pretty reasonable price wise split between a ton of people, plus it wouldn't be outside in tents or what not so people could bring game stuff to trade/sell.

I just called, the biggest one they have sleeps 30. It's 9 bedroom. Has pool table, hot tub, wireless, etc. I'm not sure the price yet because it would depend on when we would go. I'm all for it, I was just up there in December at a smaller cabin with my wife. What does everyone think about this?

are there bears in tenn

Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me, "You're next." They stopped after I started doing the same thing to them at funerals.

Do you guys want to put together a vote to see how many people would want to stay in a cabin?

bump? I imagine there is some interest in this, even if it would end up being smallish.

I think if you had a date and time more people might be willing to commit. I would also make sure there are hotels nearby just in case people don't want to camp.

Hotels take all of the fun out..

There are several hotels nearby..

I'm off of exit 232 of I-40 in Lebanon TN.. I'm sure google well show 10+ hotels within 10 miles, 100's of hotels within 20 to 30 miles..

Possible dates, feedback requested..

July 24-26

July 31 - August 2

August 7-9

August 14-16

Or if everyone would prefer some dates in Sept and Oct that would be okay..

Sept 4-6

Sept 11-13

Oct 2-4

Oct 9-11

Oct 16-18

I'm flexible about the date.. I would like as much feedback as you guys can give me.. I know Roth expressed interest in this before school started for his son Jeremiah, which is August 20 according to his school's website..

But August weather in TN can get hot....

I say lets shoot for July or August. That way anyone with kids can still make the trek...plus UT football starts in Sept and I can't miss that

The same bears that are in West Virginia.

They're all smaller than YOU, though

There's about an 80% chance right now I can go as long as it's before school starts (Teacher). I'm not much into camping though and would stay in a cabin or hotel.

I had mentioned a cabin that holds 30 people, not sure what it would cost though. We would have to find out the date first and then how many people would be going....

I'm sure my wife wouldn't mind coming along, probably is I seem to be the only one who voted for July! What's with all you guys and September anyway? If it happens then, not likely I can make it. In the Summer, hell yeah.  That time in August should be fine, nothing going on then.
