Well, he has been around for 20 years, so if the voters are mainly in their mid to late 20s then he's likely what they grew up listening to.

I go 6. Probably would go 8. He's just so highly overrated here in MI. His early work and up to 8 Mile were enough for me. Favorite song is probably Cleanin Out My Closet. My rating is skewed for sure.

My nomination for next week is Lil Wayne

I collect SNES, and have extras I need to rid myself of. If you have needs, worst thing you can do is ask if I have it, or view my FS thread!

I’m not a fan of rap music even less so of modern rap music. I’d still say he deserves all the 9 and 10 votes that he has been getting. You couldnt objectively create a top 10 or even top 5 list of all acts in that genre and not include him.

No one else ranked so far has had the innovation, impact or been as dominant in their field.

Yeah I agree, seems like there have been lots of angst-y white boys already

How about Janelle Monae? She has an alter ego of being a time traveling android rebel.  How cool is that?  But everyone is too busy talking about Miley Cyrus' twerk moves to notice. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I liked homeboy in the beginning, but he lost me as a fan when he started dissing President Trump. He should've kept his mouth shut about politics.

Most of these listed have predictable results.
When it comes to innovation and lasting influence , Queen would likely rate the highest from that list.

More interesting might be a group with a more divisive opinion. Where the biggest fans love without limit while the other side doesn’t understand the love. Examples might include ICP ,KISS or Greatful Dead.

Another interesting approach would be see how the group reacts to a previously untouched genre.
Bob Marley , Kraftwerk or Hank Willams.

She has the body of an 11 year old. I doubt anyone cares about her twerking. Unless you are into 11 year olds...

Kiss was a good stage show, the music is alright. I think of them as musical theater.

Some people honestly consider them THE band. 11 out of 10.

Others consider them a 2 or 3. “Clowns on display who can’t play”.

GWAR might be another people love or don’t understand.

That will be happening soon.  Though you could also call the artist I have in mind "pop"

8 for Eminem, not 100% my style but he’s an amazing, clever lyracist. Some of his rhyme schemes are crazy.

I nominate Iron Maiden. KISS would be fun to see strong opinions on. I’m kinda in the middle on them.
