Just a heads up that I'm gonna be a bit slow coming back for a bit. Working on Romance of the Three Kingdoms for the NES thread. I might knock a few off at some point to break it up, but that's going to take up much of my gaming time for the next little while.

"It's always amazing to me how some of the most worthless games from a gaming perspective tend to fetch outrageous amounts of money. But then again, it could be said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. I'm curious if the high bidder of the $873.04 Stadium Events (cart-only) realizes that it's nowhere nearly as rare as about 20+ games I can think of that sell for 1/10th that amount?  At any rate, I wanted to draw attention to this trend: if people say it's rare, it must be true, and therefore it must be had at any price."

Ninja Warriors done.  Family left, and I got the final boss on my first attempt on my return to the game.  Very, very fun game.  Quite easy too.

Word tris complete, I had forgotten that it was a pretty decent game, not the first game I'd pick off the shelf. Probably done for the night

Wow, very nice. I wanted to figure out a way to make that be worth multiple games worth of scores but ran out of time

Super Metroid completed. Thought I got everything, but I apparently missed a few items. Been about five years or so since I last completed it, still among my all time favs!

Beat CV3 for the NES yesterday, so this was a natural followup to get on the board for SNES.

I have one resolution for 2016: This WILL be the year I finally beat 7th Saga, Lagoon, Paladin's Quest and the Soul Blazer sequels!

You happen to record your SCIV score?

Just popped in to give mad props to Brock Landers. Great job! Everything's really well organized and smooth.

This thing is lookin' sweet! Gives (me) a new reason/meaning to play and beat games. Great stuff!

I hope to "help out" by putting away a few of the easier titles, haha... Aside from the common SNES games, I mostly ever focused on killing NES games. There's not really any hard games that I know I can beat. Any fun/easy games I know that I have access too I'll take care of though.

Since I prefer to see pictures myself I'll always include them, and pictures of scores if possible. If not, there won't be a post. (Sorry for the derail, just wanted to give a shout out! Hopefully I'll be back later on with actual news, haha)

Thank you very much.  It was definitely a lot of work, but I'm pretty passionate about this stuff so I enjoyed every minute of it

I put some time into Sunset Riders this morning, and I'm almost as bad at that game as I am Contra III.  I don't know if its bad form or not to use up both players' continues, but that is probably the only way I could beat it anytime soon.

You're welcome man!

I'm about to give you some more work to to and contribute to taking care of some of this list! Thanks!

Sunset Riders is awesome, there's no doubt about that. Really fun to play. I rememberr when I was playing it a while back and I was like "this is like a Western version of Contra"... then I remembered it was Konami and the light went off in my brain. Both great games.

I haven't beaten Sunset Riders (or Contra 3) yet, and I usually give myself extra men AND use the 2nd players continues, haha. Haven't figured out the last boss yet. He always kicks my ass.

I figured my contribution to the demolition of the SNES library should start with one of the hardest games... you guys can thank me later.

Aladdin is done!

Moved noto something a bit harder:
Tetris/Dr. Mario is done!

The scores were pretty low so it wasn't difficult to beat them, should be all good, but just let me know.

I won't take the clear from you in any case, but if someone has a better/harder idea for Tetris/Dr. Mario I'm all ears for next year

No, sorry. I rushed through the game, so it wasn't anything impressive. Also I game overed in the clock tower, so I think that puts it back to 0 anyway.

Ah, was curious because I also started an SNES competition that starts with Super Castlevania IV for January. I'll be trying to push that more after the initial rush of this thread is over

On the NES, you have to do 9-5 on the B game of Tetris, as well as level 20 of Dr. Mario.  I believe they require high speed to get the best ending on the NES version of Dr. Mario, but the SNES one doesn't have endings for any of the settings as far as I can tell, so it shouldn't really matter for our purposes.
