No point racking? You can sit at the "Pod" that looks like a "vajajay" and kill infinite numbers of enemies...

There's a timer in this game, so point racking will be allowed this week....unless everyone thinks we should put in a no point racking rule. Thoughts?

This is going to have to do for now.

Time to play on and see what the rest of this level is like....

Yeah, there's a timer, so point racking should be ok. Also, with the type of game this is its pretty impossible to say "no point racking" as you are forced to wonder around the map causing enemies to respawn.

Point racking it will be. Mog brought up a good point. The enemies constantly respawn, so it would be extremely hard to move around the levels without racking up points a little bit.

37600    just enough for participation.  I hope this game doesn't loop for the high scorers sakes.

If you have any GBA signage or kiosk I would be interested. Please send me a PM because I'm only here about once a month now but I'm still VERY interested in large system signage or small playable kiosks related to the GBA.

I believe it does not loop. You can play it again, but there is an ending as far as I remember. I trashed this game last fall or so, let's see if I can or have the time to do it again!

Yeah, man, you're doing it right.  The only thing I ask is that you remove the old scores from your original post and just keep your current score in there.  Makes it easier for me to update the leaderboard if there's just one score per person.  Feel free to leave the links to the videos, though.  It's always cool to see videos of people's playthroughs of NES games.

Arrrggggh.  Should have taken a picture before I beat the final boss so you could see my total lives.  Didn't occur to me until after.  I had nine.  If you want me to play it again, no problem, not sure I can do that again on one damn life.  Last two levels are tough unless you can get the laser fast, which I happened to do at least on the last one, survived with fireball on the fifth level and then found laser shortly thereafter.  No problem if you want me to have it another go.  I can't really place this time around anyway, just getting back into the groove.  Otherwise, I took two screens.  One showing ending, and then the other showing my score during another round of playing.  The screen cuts off the high score at the title screen, so that was the best way to take it.

If you want to train for this game, by the way, play the Master System version. It's a million times more difficult. The enemies in this port, though it's my favorite home version, are way easy. Too slow.

Shit, I'm still second anyway! Just noticed Outinthedark's score way above. He died before finishing too! What a rip. Oh well.

Having trouble playing this one on emulator, keep dying to some invisible something during the first boss fight, dammit. Tried it 3 times, each time my death was due to something I couldn't see.

I'm so close to one lif'ing this game. Level 5 with the testical monsters is rough but doable, they just spawn infrequently so you have to be on your toes. The 6th I've barely had enough practice to get a good feel of the level. Level 4 though is where I die the most, those squid things spawn so damn fast.

Yeah, those tadpole things move FAST.  The vein blob things on the final level (before last boss level) are actually pretty easy, just keep clear of the holes in the wall they come out of because you can't blast those.  The final boss was SO pathetic!  Probably the easiest in the whole dang game.

I hate the little bacons on the 3rd boss. That was the only boss that actually killed me once so I had to start over. Well after a good hour or two of play time I finally beat this game without loosing a life. I read Stan's posts so I made sure to take a picture after I beat the boss when it racked up my final score.

HIgh Score = 1,006,100
