Hello everyone and welcome to the latest installment of the Weekly Contests!  This week's game is going to be Cobra Triangle.  Here are the rules:

• Play until Game Over
• You are not allowed to use any continues
• No 1up leeching in first stage or anywhere else
• Take your picture when the game asks if you want to continue
• Highest score wins
• GENRE: Action/Platformer

The contest ends Sunday, 12/21/14 at 11 PM NA time.  Your user name MUST be written on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid.  The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid.  No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted.  No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed.  You must take a picture of your computer monitor.  There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers.  Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, or save states if playing on an emulator.  Also, we will only be using NTSC systems for the contests.  The use of PAL systems will NOT be allowed.  Good luck everyone and have fun

Jump the waterfall events are crucial area in the game. You need to nail them correctly in order to not lose multiple lives there.

Also, I kinda like this game, but the waterfalls are a pain in the butt to successfully do without losing all your lives.

Should be Action/Platformer right?

I would imagine this game as an Action game.

I haven't played this one much but when I did I wasn't very good at it.

Cool, I've been wanting to try this game. It kinda reminds me of RC Pro-Am with boats.

Love this game. My brother and I would rent it all the time. Not to say I'm not terrible at it though.

I've been looking forward to this one. First, because it's the only game I have that have been a part of the weekly contests since I found and joined this forum. Second, because it's a fun game and I played it all the time back in the day.

Also, this game is part of the Action/Platformer category and not Sports. I had guillavoie post for me this week because I have been computerless for almost a week now. Everything is back up and running. Also, this is the final regular contest for 2014. There will be no contest next week as we get prepared for the Winter Tournament. The tournament will run for 3 weeks and starts on December 28. The 2015 contests will start up either the first week of February or last week of January.

I am really bad at this game. I couldn't fry the monster or save the people. My high score was 40,000

They are both made by Rare so it basically is RC Pro AM, but alot more fun.  I may participate this week as I haven't owned any of the games for like the last two months and I used to be able to get to level 12 or 13 (the iceberg shit stage) before continuing.  Should be a fun week.

I watched a youtube video where a guy kept letting the timer run out after collecting the 1up on level 1 while shooting enemies and powering up. I presume this what the rules were referring to by "no 1up leeching"

Hehe, no problem.  When I think of Cobra Triangle, I think of R.C. Pro-Am on water, so I likely would have done the same thing myself.

I'm starting to get the hang of this game. Definitely some tough spots but I'm enjoying it
