Snap, first pledge.

Again, it's been fun watching all this go down and congrats on making it happen. I'm super excited about the media blitz that's about to occur. Good timing with the election.

-------------------------

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at the Let's Play Gaming Expo last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

Oh, my WTB thread is very popular. The sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wastoids, dweebies, Richard craniums - they all adore it. They think it's a righteous thread.
I'd also like to add that I've got my father's gun and a *scorching* price guide for aftermarket Nintendo games.
Between Dragon Warriors and nothing... I'll take Dragon Warriors - for any of my FT/FS/FO items.

Cool stuff. Best luck and congratulations!

Also... you could move the apostrophe after the "s" in the title, if you wanted to

Just to make sure, the CIB and loose cart options are indeed unlimited?

I miss the original cover art. Still, nice to see another prototype unearthed.

I also wish the the Kickstarter page mentioned the Genesis version. At least acknowledge that it was planned, not everything revolves around the SNES.

I didn't see this mentioned in the campaign, so I'll ask here, but is this going to be a one-off production? Only copies that get manufactured will be what is made through this Kickstarter? Or will it continue to be produced as long as copies keep selling out?

Also, why $30,000? I hope it reaches its goal, but that's more than I was expecting. Are there any plans if it doesn't reach that goal? Is there no chance we'll ever get to play it now if for any reason the campaign isn't funded?

Hope I don't sound like I'm attacking here haha. They're questions that naturally came to mind. I'd suggest at least mentioning what the goal amount covers in the FAQ section, since it's a good thing when Kickstarters let people know why an amount was chosen and what it's helping.

I will probably back it for a CIB but I don't see why this needs a Kickstarter and wont be ready until July 2017 being that the game is complete?

We've talked about what we'll do post-Kickstarter but we're not ready to share our thoughts here. A LOT depends on how the Kickstarter goes. So for now that's where our focus is.

As far as the amount for the goal...well as hard as it might be to fathom that's roughly the break even point. Betweeen acquisition costs, taxes, legal, TM fees, paying our programmer and artist and of course manufacturing the run. This will be about break even. Agreed it's a good idea to add that to the FAQ's. Also, if you put a smaller amount it almost takes away from the breadth of the project IMO.

I'm just focusing on making the Kickstarter successful. The rest will follow. Hope that helps.

The Kickstarter part's easy. It's a marketing tool, let's us know how much inventory we need and what demand there is and it maximizes exposure.

As for the July release...I don't think it will take that long but anytime you have to manufacture something there are always delays. Always. Putting it out until July gives us a cushion to work with when delays occur.

Thanks and thank you for the questions.  As soon as the games are ready to ship, they will. Hopefully we can significantly improve on the July release.

How much more work needs to be done on the game for it to be "done done"? I've been burned by so many video game kickstarters it's almost a rule not to back them now. Also throwing support behind the Genesis version.

The game itself is done. Any issues or bugs were fixed. That was something we wanted to make sure of before launching the Kickstarter. That was finished a few months ago. All we have left for that is inserting a splash screen and that's just awaiting text. The game itself is 100% ready.

Cool! Understand this next question isn't being asked out of malice but general ignorance of the process.

Is it really going to take 8 months to produce or is that a worst case scenario? If the game is already made is it reliant on the slow boat from China or these being locally sourced? Hand made? I worked in an industrial PROM shop and we'd be able to fulfill the entire run of $30k worth of cart only pledges in a day or two. I know you won't have the same capability, but the timeline seems incredibly drawn out.

I'm between the cart and the download, as I own a SD2SNES and have no intention of building an SNES collection... I still have some time to think about it! Definitely not the CIB as USD75 is a bit high with the current exchange rate in Canada.
